  • 1992 Honda Civic Overheating & Losing Coolant?

    Hi,

Last year, this car overheated constantly. Opening the heat vents would result in the temp. guage falling from the red zone. Finally, it overheated most of a trip to Chicago. Took it to Honda, they said thermostat and radiator. I had Honda replace the Thermostat. It was fine for 3 weeks, then began overheating again. I replaced the radiator and again fine for a couple of weeks, then overheated. Had the water pump checked, no leakage, working fine. It seems that if I drive about 200 miles in hot weather; I seem to be using/losing coolant. Could multiple occurances of overheating result in the head gasket needing to be replaced? I look at the oil and it seems fine; the coolant color is fine? Any ideas on why still overheating and loosing about a 8 oz glass of coolant a week? Honda has 186,000

  • Pay down Mortgage or Invest in 401K ?

I am consolidating a 1st mtg & a home equity into a new 15 yr fixed mtg at 6.5%. If I pay an extra 100.00 per month and 1000.00 once a year; I can reduce the interest cost by 18,000.00 and pay off the loan in 12 1/2 years. I'm 47 and also need to rebuild my retirement since those funds were used over almost 2 years out of work in order to keep home and pay college tuition for 2 children. So; shall I pay extra on my home so that it's paid off by 60 years old or pay into a Roth IRA? Let's pretend that I'm maxxing my company 401K and getting the company matching funds.

  • People existing before Christ's birth automatically consigned to hell?

I don't recall the churches of my youth addressing this question; however, I was contemplating this question the other day.

If WE whom are 'saved' believe that Christ is the son of God and only by believing in him as the son of god will we be guaranteed a place in heaven after the second coming. Right?

My question is; those hundreds of millions whom lived prior to the birth of Christ, are they automatically rejected from god's embrace and will therefore be consigned to an eternity in hell?

  • Noah's Flood?

In 1998, Bob Ballard - the discoverer of the Titanic's remains announced that the Black Sea had once been a 'freshwater' lake and that roughly 7000 BC, the earth holding back the Mediterranean Sea (thru the Bosphorus Sraits) collapsed, resulting in massive flooding that the ancients embellished into 'Flood' myths. This week, scientests announced that roughly 4800 years ago, a large meteor (s) crashed into the Indian Ocean that resulted in a 600 foot tidal wave that hit Madagascar and by extrapolation, all around the Indian Ocean. Wouldn't you agree that modren Science can now explain the reason why so many peoples from those area's had 'flood' myths?

  • Has the Bush Administration pressured the Iraqi government to announce Saddam's verdict two days before the US

Elections? Prior to Talabani visiting Washington last week; Saddam's verdict was going to be announced after the US Elections. After Talabani visited with George, et.al; the verdict is to be announced before the US Elections? Does anyone else wonder if the US citizen is being "played" by the elite of the Republican Party?

  • Do Bankruptcy Courts intetrface with the Internal Revenue Service?

My court agreement indicates that I have to give all refunds to the Bankruptcy Court while I am in Chapter 13. I have given the court these refunds. However, if I amend my return, will the court be notified by the IRS about the change? I don't believe that they have an integrated notification system. Anyone with knowledge about this situation out there?
