How can I ship books and clothes, etc, from Quanzhou, Fujian Province, CHINA to Albany New York USA?
I am moving back to the USA. I have books to ships and clothes--not much else. I do not want to USA Fed-Ex or other forms of air freight as it is too expensive. And I can wait three months for my stuff to arrive in the USA.

I am hoping to travel to Chongqing for the National Holiday vacation next week. I'll be traveling alone. Any idea where I could find a guide, or perhaps even a company that arranges private tours.
3 AnswersChina1 decade agoWuhan to Chengdu?
I am flying to Wuhan next month and wish to visit Chengdu as well. Just spent a frustrating time trying to buy a China Southern ticket Wuhan/Chengdu RT via the China web site. In the end, I couldn't work out how to may with my credit card.
Anyway, what is the best way to travel between the two cities? I know there are flights. Are there good train connections?
Any other advice?
Thanks.
2 AnswersChina1 decade agoChina: the distinction between guides and travel companions?
I suspect I know the answer to this, but can somebody let me know for sure.
I am looking for a guide when I go to China in early 2008.
Some internet sites have guides.
Other sites have people they call "travel companions." These travel companions are almost always young women, college-age or just a little older, and they are usually quite well-dressed, well-groomed, and beautiful. They look more ready to attend a cocktail party than hike the Great Wall.
My suspician is that these "companions" are not just guides; I can't think of how to put that more delicately.
I do not want to make arrangements expecting one experience and being offered quite a different one!
If anybody can clear this up for me, thank you.

Can anybody tell me about Brazilian Christmas? My wife and I like to travel out of the USA for Christmas and prefer to go places where Christmas is more of a public holiday than in the Anglo-American tradition. We have gone several times to Oaxaca, but this year we want to try something new.
