I am fifteen and on a tight budget but wanting to set up a marine tank. I have decided to go for a fish only with live rock tank and was wondering if this lighting would be sufficient for a 100 litre aquarium http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=1...
3 AnswersFish10 years agoa little assisstance would be apreciated please...?
i am in a predicament. i have a west african biotope with xenomystus nigri 33 congo tetras ctenopoma and chromido tilapia guntheri. however tomorrow im being given two 30 cm bichirs that i have to put in that tank. i am worried they will eat my congos and c. guntheri. but i only have three 30 litre tanks and a 60 litre i can put them in. will they be okk for a week spread out in these tanks whilst i set up a tank for the bichirs (i have a filter running on my larger system to get the bacteria needed)? or would the bichirs be ok in the 60 litre if i water changed it every day?

I was going to do a west African biotope with spotted climbing perch, African butterfly fish, African knife fish, kribs, blockheads, and bichirs and possibly Congo tetras depending on if I get bichirs. But I am not sure. So tell me what you would do. Thanks.

4 AnswersFish10 years agosetting up a fish tank urgently...?
i have to set up a 80 gallon fish tank but i won't have a long time to cycle it. i have seven other fish tanks i can get a quater of the volume for the tank buy taking water from these tanks, i also have live bacteria in a bottle i purchased and a 20 gallon filter that is being used currently but i have one to replace it as it is old which i will run along side the new one. i also am going to take gravel from one of the tanks that is already running. if i do all this do you think the tank will be fish safe in a week? i will be topping it up with water from my other tanks regularly also.
