  • help on babyfit website?

Is anyone familiar with the babyfit website? I just entered all my pregnancy weights and current post-pregnancy weight into the weight tracker, only to find out that it's all listed in lbs and my scale is in kgs! Does anyone know how to change the chart to kgs?? I don't want to have to re-enter all my weights. That was time consuming! But it's saying that I'm 5'7" and 67 lbs instead of 67 kgs like it's supposed to.

This is the website I'm talking about:

  • Does my 7 weeks old son need to apply with ESTA?

My son is 7 weeks old. He was born in Austria and has Austrian citizenship (my husband, his dad, is Austrian) and an Austrian passport. However, because he is my son and I am a US citizen (born and raised in the USA), then he is automatically a US citizen also (I've already verified this.) However, because it takes longer to get a US passport and we are traveling in two weeks, he does not have his US passport or US documents yet.

So my question is, do I need to register him with ESTA, the new on-line visa waiver program? Or can I just travel with him with his Austrian passport to the US?

  • Am I eligible for medi-cal?

I am a born and raised US-citizen. I've been living in Austria for 2 years with my husband, who is Austrian, but I still have an official US mailing address at my aunt's house in California, where I lived from 1997-2007 (before that I lived in California, but at a different address). I will be going home to California for Christmas time and I will be 30-32 weeks pregnant.

I currently have no insurance and no income in California. If something unexpected happens and I end up giving birth while in California, can I apply for Medi-cal to help me cover those emergency hospital expenses? What other options do I have? I don't want to be stuck with a $100,000 hospital bill or something outrageous like that.

I know the chances of me giving birth that early are very small, but I still want to know how big of a risk I am taking. Thanks for any help!

I have tried looking for these answers on the actual Medi-cal site, but it's not clear to me whether I would be covered or approved or not.

  • My Microsoft Word won't open documents?

My Microsoft Word won't open documents?

Ever since yesterday, when I go to open a word file, it just opens a blank window. When I close the window, it says "this program is not responding. ... click End Now" Then it asks me to "Send Error Report" so I do that. I have repaired and then reinstalled my "Microsoft Office 2000", but it still doesn't work.

I can open the documents using "Microsoft Office Word" (instead of the usual "Microsoft Word for Windows") but then it won't let me open a new, blank document with that program. It's "read-only". I can open the document with "Word Pad", but that's not the same program.

Can anybody help me please?!?! I just want to be able to use my regular Microsoft Word programs again and be able to edit the files I already have.

Should I remove my "Microsoft Office 2000" completely and then re-install it again?? Would I lose the files I already have if I did that?

    Additional Details

've had my laptop since 2006. When my 30-day trial ran out, I installed the Microsoft Office 2000 that I had and I haven't had any problems with it until now. Now when it opens with the "Microsoft Office Word" (instead of the usual "Microsoft Word for Windows") it tells me that my 30-day trial ended in 2006 and I have to enter a product code for Microsoft Office 2003! When I go to enter my product key for the Microsoft Office (2000) that I have, it says it's invalid and wants me to pay $150 for a new version on-line. argh! This is so aggravating!

  • Who do you want to or think will win "the Bachelorette" with Jillian?

So we have Ed, who left but came back. He's my first pick. Coming back shows that he really does care about Jillian and wants to be with her.

Then there's Kipton, although there is a rumor that he is the next Bachelor already. I just don't think he's right for her.

And finally, it's been confirmed (in the "men tell all" episode) that Reid comes back too. He would be my 2nd choice, although I don't think she would change her mind after letting him go.

    What do you think?

Who do you WANT her to pick?

Who do you think she WILL pick?

Do you think they'll stay together?

Remember, Trista and Ryan are still together, so Bachelorette's have a better track record than Bachelor's!

  • Is it safe to use a teeth whitener when you have a canker sore?

I bit the inside of my lip a few days ago and still have a bad sore from that. (No, this is NOT a cold sore or herpes .. it's from biting my lip)

Is it safe to use a home teeth whitener while I still have the sore on my lip (inside)? I have the kind you press the strip onto your teeth and wait 30 minutes .. type of thing.

I tried to look it up on-line, but I couldn't find anything. The insert that comes with the package also doens't say anything for or against it.

  • living in US over 10 years. how to apply for greed card?

I have a friend that is 18. He's lived in the US since he was 8 or younger, so he's been here at least 10 years. He has a social security card and number, but is not a US citizen. He came over with his father and brother from France (although they are originally from the Congo .. I think). Is there a way that he can apply for a green card/permanent residency on his own?

His dad came over legally with him and his brother, but (long story) forgot to renew some paperwork and so, his dad is not a citizen either.

    Thanks for any help!

  • period late, trying not to test, anyone else in the same boat?

My last period was on Feb. 14. I've had early pregnancy symptoms on and off. I took HPTs at 9,10,11 and 14 DPO, but all came back neg, which I was expecting because that's technically too early to test.

I really don't want another BFN, so I'm trying to wait as long as possible before testing again. At least now I am past the two week wait, so each day without AF is a positive sign.

Anybody else in the same boat? Past AF date but still waiting to test?

  • What number for Alexis Grace, the last singer on Top 13 (American Idol)?

So I heard there was this big controversy that because American Idol has a Top 13, they would need an extra telephone number for the 13th performer. Apparently IDOLS00 and IDOLS13 are unavailable because they are sex chat lines or something like that.

Does anyone know what number they ended up choosing for the 13th contestant (who was Alexis Grace, I think)? Did they change ALL the numbers of the Top 13 or just one number?

  • early pregnancy symptoms that come and go. Has this happened to you?

At 7 and 8 DPO, I had quite a few pregnancy symptoms. (See my other question at the link for the whole list of them.) Now I'm at 11 DPO and don't really have any symptoms. Is that normal? If I were pregnant would symptoms come and go? Has that happened to anybody?

I've taken a couple pregnancy tests the last few days, but they came out negative, which is what I was expecting since it's still kinda early to test (my period is "expected" in about 4-5 days).

The only "symptoms" I have at the moment are a little fatigue, lack of appetite, mood swings, sensitivity to smells and funny feelings in the tummy and ovary area.

What are you thoughts? (I'm not asking if you think I'm pregnant or not, although you're welcome to comment on that. I know I'll just have to wait longer and take another test. I just want to know if anyone has experienced anything similar very early in their pregnancy.)

    Thanks!

  • 2ww, 8DPO, symptoms, do you think I might be pregnant?

So I'm starting the second week of the 2ww (two week wait). I've never been pregnant before. Here are my "symptoms".

~frequent urination (but not like crazy frequent .. I've had UTIs before and it's not like that)

~headaches (and I NEVER get headaches)

~just starting to get sore/tingly boobs (and that is not a normal PMS symptom for me)

~not hungry (and usually I love to eat. This symptom started just today. And by "love to eat", I don't mean that I'm fat .. I just mean that I enjoy food.)

~when I do eat, I can only eat a bit and then I just don't feel well (it's not like "throw-up" kinda sick. it's just "different". Like, I feel like I should stop eating.)

~mood's all over the place (happy, stable, sad, angry, excited, etc.)

~funny kinda of pinchy feelings down around my ovaries (never really had anything like this before)

~gas (but not really bad. This is probably not a symptom, as I had some beans today .. lol)

So, there you have it. What do you think? Most of these symptoms just started in the last day or two, which would be about 6-8 DPO (days past ovulation). I'm not getting my hopes up, but I just wanted to hear some opinions and personal stories. And if I haven't closed the question, I'll be sure to post if I have a BFP (pos. preg. test) or not, whenever I do test.

Speaking of which, do you think it would be stupid to test tomorrow at 9 DPO? I have a bunch of extra HPTs (home preg tests) and my logic is that there is a tiny, tiny chance it might show pos, if i'm preg, but that if it shows neg, then I can just write it off as being too soon.

Thanks for all comments and suggestions!

(and yes, we had sex on all the appropriate days, etc)

    Additional Details:

and one more symptom that I forgot:

~I've been a lot hotter/warmer than normal. (I don't take my temps each day, so I can't be more exact, but I live where it is still winter and I usually walk around very covered up and with a bathrobe and all. And in the past few days, I've been a lot hotter, walking around in T-shirts (inside and sometimes outside) and sometimes sleeping naked (sorry, TMI) because I'm so warm.)

one more symptom (hey, is memory loss a symptom 'cause I seem to keep forgetting symptoms .. lol)

~sensitivity to smells (usually, I just don't smell anything. I have a horrible sense of smell and occasionally have allergies which make my nose run, making it harder to smell, but in the last few days, I have been able to smell things! Not anything unusual, just food and chapstick and my husband, etc. But for me it's unusual because I usually can't really smell ANYTHING.)

ok .. hopefully that's the last symptom. :-)

  • American Idol: who do you want for the wildcard?

So they haven't said exactly how they pick who is coming back for the wildcard show or how people advance from the wildcard show (do the judges pick? do we vote?). Some people (Simon) have even said that the wildcard show may have people who weren't in the top 36 (like Jamar). So, who do you want to see in the wildcard show and who do you want to take the last 3 spots?

    My picks:

    *Anoop

    Nick (Normund)

*Megan Corkrey (the single mom with really long hair)

*Ricky Braddy (the guy we hadn't heard of before)

Matt Giraud (the dueling piano player)

    *for the top 12

  • Chelsie Hightower on Dancing with the Stars?!?

Has anybody else noticed all of the "So You Think You Can Dance" dancers that are now the "pros" on "Dancing With the Stars"? Lacey Schwimmer, Dmitry Chaplin and now Chelsie Hightower. Personally, I think it's great and I love watching them. My newest favorite is Chelsie! What do you think?

Here is a link where you can see photos of all the couples for this season:

    http://tvwatch.people.com/2009/02/20/dancing-unvei...

And another thing ... I thought Julianne Hough said that she wasn't going to be on this season because she wanted to focus on her music career. I mean I love Julianne and I'm thrilled that she's back, but why did she come back if she said she wasn't?
