  • Looking for creepy songs/bands?

So I've been thinking. Are there any bands that specialize in the art of fear? In the style of Enter Sandman by Metallica - you know, a solid song but with a creepy note, songs that send goosebumps all over your skin, songs that make you stay awake all night.

Except they didn't make just that one creepy song but the whole band is built up around fear, all their songs have a creepy touch.

    Would appreciate every suggestion :)

  • Should I see a specialist?

I have three issues that come and go but since I want to start a family in two or three more years, I want to be sure that these won't mess with my pregnancy or give me a mental breakdown.

1.) When I exhaust myself a little bit like after running two miles or if something happens that could have changed my life in a very bad way like narrowly escaping a traffic accident or similar, my heart starts racing like crazy and I get a persistent ache in my torso. It either occurs around the heart or just below where the rib cage ends. It feels like a pulled muscle but then after 5-10 minutes it goes away.

2.) Whenever I have to speak to a stranger or in front of a group of people - mostly strangers - or if I have to be around people or places I am not comfortable with, I get a huge adrenaline boost. Like for example, I had to ask for directions and asked the fourth person I passed because I didn't dare to try sooner. When I asked them, I got really hot, as if I had a fever and my heart started pumping like crazy.

3.) Every once and then I wake up and feel really, really sad and then just start crying for no reason. I just need to hear or read a word and tears just start flowing. Every time it's a different word and then when I calm down, if I see or hear the thing again, I start crying again. It goes on like this for a couple of days and then it just passes.

My doctor said there's nothing wrong with me an when I persisted to have my heart checked for issue 1, the cardiologist found nothing. He said my heart's really healthy.

Could it be something with my brain?

  • Game similar to Magic Farm...?

It's one of those for limited time free games, that you can get online.

If you are familiar with the game Magic Farm... I think this one's been made by the same people, since the in-game cursor and the graphics are pretty much the same...

You came to this kingdom and you get a farm with magical creatures and you are in the poorest district of the city, it's kind of a medieval environment... With more gold and more magical creatures you continue up and you can get into better districts where you buy another farm and have more creatures.

I think you start off with a normal goose and she can lay a golden egg, which you can hatch and if you are successful, you get a golden goose which lays golden eggs but can also lay a rainbow (?) egg and then you hatch it and get a rainbow goose. It goes like this for all the creatures in this game, you have this basic creature which has three stages, you get to the next stage by successfully hatching the egg.

And you get to beat monsters who wander into your farm and want to harm your pretty little creatures.

This is as much as I can remember, I played it long ago and I know I'm not giving you much information here.

  • Poll: Does anyone else feel like separating the Rock&Pop section?

I know that someone already asked if you want to separate Rock and Pop but I'd go a step further: I'd also like to make Metal a category of it's own. So we dump the Rock&Pop section and make Pop, Rock and Metal, what do you say?

  • How big do the Blue Devilfish grow?

I'm having a research on this species for... reasons.

How big do different subjects of this fish species grow?

What is the biggest and the smallest known Blue Devil fish?

There are different fish who share the same name and live in different regions, for example, one lives near Australia and one near the Philippines... I want to know how BIG it can get and what is it's proper name - Blue Devil is just the name of this type of fish, which are blue and dotted and some have yellow fins and some have yellow mouths...

    Thank you :)

  • Anybody know the name of this song or the author...?

So I've had this song for years, it's named Sorry but I don't know if it's so because that is really the name or just because I didn't know how to label it...

    The chorus goes like this:

Would you run if I asked you to stay?

Would you cry if I said that I missed you?

Sorry is all I can say.

Please tell me if it's familiar, I can't find it anywhere else.

  • Do you use the Nokia N9?

Are you happy with it? Are there anything that you don't like on it, or would change it? How long does the battery last(diff. use)? How many games does it have pre-installed (prob. the most important question of the day lol :D)?

Would you recommend it to your friends, family, ... a complete stranger? :)

I will need to buy a new phone this year, the Nokia 5230 I have now is almost 2 years old. Well, in September I'll have it 2 yrs. And it still works very fine, for a touch phone and all, considering that my friends' Samsungs, HTCs, LGs etc. didn't last that long under same circumstances :P

Although it's fulfilling all my needs, I can't expect it to last another 2 years. And since I can get ANY phone in my telephone shop very cheap(we have this offer, that every 2 years you can buy an UMTS phone, if you buy it earlier you still have to pay a small amount, me now 23 € but if I wait until July, only 5€) I will buy the best Nokia I can get.

PS I know the N9 is over 600€ but in this shop I can get it almost for nothing. Therefore I don't need to look for the price, they are very nice to keep it that cheap here, so I can afford it :)

PPS You won't be able to convince me in any other brand, had Nokias all my life (or at least 8 years, me being now 18)

  • POLL: How to save the younger generation?

I just want to gather some opinions on this so feel free to comment. (Haters gonna hate)

Everybody is complaining how today's music is nothing compared to the past. How the people don't know real music and are listening to Justin Bieber and artists alike. And this makes me think.

You see, I'm 18 and I love 80s classic metal, hard rock, what I listen to is pretty much all pre-90. Although I know that everybody has their own music taste I still wonder how can people let music companies brainwash them. Because that is what it looks like, I don't think anybody who is able to think rationally would listen to the wannabes these companies are trying to sell us.

So here's my solution for musical pollution: we try to bring those great times back, which is already happening with bands who are inspired by either old time rock 'n' roll or glam metal - like Summers and Steel Panther. Okay, Summers aren't that know yet and that is just because these nice young fellas from UK don't fit in this music era, they make music like good old bands back then. And Steel Panther... Well, you know that sex sells and so they used this and started playing glam metal with very spicy lyrics.

But we can also teach our children the old ways and make them appreciate everything yet listen to good old stuff. And this means not just rock and metal, we also had everything else (for example 2pac, Abba...), any genre you'd think of.

Like I do, I showed my 10 y.o. nephew some Alice Cooper, his dad has 4 Smokie CDs, he loves Bon Jovi also(the nephew, don't know about dad).

CONCLUSION: Don't let them brainwash you and your children! Stand up and fight for your music!

  • HELP!! What happened with our router?

Okay. I (means we) have a lil problem over here. The main computer is back and now I am finally able to set WiFi so we can link up with laptop and PSP... But we are experiencing BIG problems. When we type in 192.168.1.1 to access router, the browser says "400 Bad Request!!!". I have the laptop linked via cable but when I need to cook something I want to enjoy MY music, not that stupid radio station and it sucks because our router is not set for WiFi... and the cable isn't long enough. -__- Also we want to change the password (maybe even the username) because a few people know it and if we would set up WiFi (miracle!), they could link up to our internet and we had to pay. Can anyone help? We've tried all aviable router adresses but none work :(
