Does anyone know what songs starts with "you're the one..."?
I heard this song on the radio yesterday that I don't know the name of and it starts with "you're the one..." but I know its definitely not "you're the one that i want" from Grease!
I think its either sung by a male solo or band and its quite ballad-like.

What do you take with you to a conservatoire audition? e.g. music books for the examiners to refer to (if you're memorising the pieces?) etc.

3 AnswersHistory8 years agoShould I read the book first and then watch the movie?
Usually I find watching a film adaptation upsetting after reading the book because of the mismatches. I want to read and watch Life of Pi over the summer and I've heard its an amazing film, so should l watch the film first so I won't be disappointed with it or does it not matter?
3 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoIs it possible for me to learn Organ at grade 4, 5 or 6 in about 3 months?
I've passed my diploma in piano last year and I want to learn the organ. I've always assumed that it'd be similar to piano except you'd play pieces with your feet too. However, I'm not sure if it'd be too big a difference for me to start playing the organ at grade 4, 5 or 6 and how much knowing how to play the piano would benefit my organ playing.
Thanks in advance!

I've never been a very sporty person but I want to get fit and write something extra curricular for my personal statement for uni. I prefer doing individual sports rather than ones that require teamwork! Please list and recommend a few individual sports for me

2 AnswersClassical8 years agoHow respected are dual degrees in university?
I've been lead to think that doing a joint (aka dual) degree is less respected because the employer prefers a one subject degree.
Others have said that it shows versatility.
So how respected are they? Will they hinder/help employability?

3 AnswersClassical8 years agoClassical music recommendation?
Can anyone recommend any classical music that lasts for one minute (or less)?
It has to be one minute please for a video clip I'm making and I want to include some classical music in it.
It'd be fine/great if it's just piano.
Thanks
5 AnswersClassical8 years agoIs it possible for me to do Grade 8 music theory?
I am currently studying a Diploma for my instrument and Music A level. I have passed my Grade 5 theory with a merit (2 marks off distinction!) a few years ago (therefore i may have forgotten some stuff)
I want to pass my grade 8 music theory before october next year (for university application for music course). Is it possible for me to skip grades in theory and do the exam by then?
Also, is it more desirable by universities that i have done grade 8 music theory if i'm applying for a music course?
Thanks

3 AnswersClassical9 years agohow long does it take a concert pianist to learn one piece?
I'm just curious about how long it takes a concert pianist to learn a 25 minute piano concerto or a difficult etude etc. For example, some young pianists (aged 21 perhaps?) seem to have many difficult pieces in their repertoire. Is it due to practising for hours per day?
4 AnswersClassical9 years agoWhat grade is La Cygne by Saint-Saens?
There is a piano version of la Cygne by Saint-Saens which was transcribed by Godowsky. It's an orignally challenging piece as well, so please don't confuse it with the easier grade 4 version. Thank you.
