How will a document edited on iPad look when I send it back to Microsoft Word to print?
I'm thinking of getting an iPad to use for my schoolwork instead of lugging my laptop around. And I know the iPad doesn't have Microsoft Word capability, but you can open and edit a Word document in the Page app. My question is if I edit a Word document on the iPad, how will it look it I send it back to my laptop to open it in Word? Will it have any odd formatting changes or other problems that will have to convert back to Word, or would I just be able to print it and go?
1 AnswerSoftware9 years agoHow do I type under a table in Microsoft Word document?
I have Word for Mac 2008. I inserted a table, but now I am ready to type under it, and I can't get the cursor to go there. How do I do that?
1 AnswerSoftware9 years agoHow would an apparently delusional person in New York be evaluated for mental competency?
I am working on a story about a person in contemporary New York City who believes she has been transported through time from the 1880s. She becomes a witness to a crime, but on questioning, police believe she is delusional. What procedures would be followed to evaluate her and determine her mental competency? My story calls for her to be judged delusional, but competent to take care of herself and not a threat to others. Also, she has absolutely no previous record of existing anywhere before the current time--no family, friends, photos, or records.
1 AnswerLaw Enforcement & Police10 years agoWhat is the meaning of the name Sunga?
I recently took in a couple of cats whose owners abandoned them. Neighbors said that the girl's name was "Sunga." I'm not sure if that is even how it should be spelled, but that's what it sounded like, and the cat responds to it. I'm trying to find out the origin of the name and what it means. I have searched online and found it as a surname (there was even a Sunga dynasty in India), but I have not found any other information about it as a name. Can anyone out there give me more information, perhaps someone who has the name Sunga or knows someone with it? TIA.
3 AnswersLanguages10 years agoHow can I see the time of the last revision to a Word for Mac 2008 document?
I have received a late student paper, and I want to see the last time she revised the document. This will help me decide if I will count the paper as late or not. I tried "Track Changes," but it seemed to want to set it up for future work, not a document that has already been written.
1 AnswerSoftware10 years agoWhat's up with websites that won't let you navigate away from them?
A couple of times now, I have accidentally navigated to a website I didn't want, and a pop-up comes up telling me I'm a winner or whatever. I don't want to be on the site, so I try to X out, but it won't let me. It also won't let me close browser from the Dock (I'm on a MacBook), open a new browser window, or click on anything else on my desktop. It just keeps insisting I click on it's pop-up, but I refuse. I can't even force quit it. I have to actually hold the on/off button down to force a shut-down. This last time just now was when I made a typo in the hulu web address, accidentally typing "hullu.com." Is there somewhere I can report this, because whatever they are up to, clearly it is no good.
2 AnswersSecurity10 years agoHow can I set Windows to ignore repeated mouse clicks?
My mother works in a school cafeteria as cashier. Recently, she discovered some payments had posted twice. Apparently, her finger sometimes "stutters" when she clicks the mouse. I've been looking through the Control Panel settings for Accesibility and for the Mouse, but I don't see anything to ignore repeated mouse clicks.
2 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoShould we continue or cancel a system restart the cat started?
My mom's cat sat on her HP laptop with Windows XP, which had been on but idle (on the desktop, but the screen was in power-save mode). Suddenly, the computer started making a loud beeping noise. We got the cat off and woke up the screen to find: "System restart has been paused: Continue with system restart [OR] Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu." Which should we do?
