  • Is it a good idea to take redundancy now?

I'm 41 and and in marketing in a rather specialised industry. I have a chance to stay on within the company in a new job (which I don't really want to do but for the same cash) or take a redundancy package (which isn't bad at all).

Should I play safe or be bold? I have ideas of starting my own venture also...

What would you do considering the current situation.

  • How much jealousy is "normal" in a relationship?

    Is it:

Ok that your partner checks your emails to see with whom you've been mailing?

OK that your partner asks lots of questions when you have contact with a member of the opposite sex?

OK that your partner provokes you in a fight by teasing you with other potential partners?

OK that your partner can talk about their ex's constantly but get jealous the moment you mention yours?

How do you deal with situations where jealousy would be considered "excessive"?

  • Love/Hate relationships...can they work?

Or do they invariably end in heartache and tears? A close friend is involved with someone and they fight a lot but always come together. It looks pretty stressful.

Is it possible for such an intense encounter to become a long lasting? If you've had such an experience that worked out well then please tell me what advice I can give to my friend on how to keep things working.

Of course if you think it can't work please explain why you think so.

Of course, experienced comments are appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • My girlfriend doesn't trust me - what to do?

I'm about to break up with "the love of my life" and its because she's insanely jealous of any situation where I go away on business. Her expectation is that I'll be "playing away". She has a way of making it appear that her reasons are based on "evidence". She's checked my emails (from the long lost past) and thinks because I was flirting with previous women that I was involved with that I must be some kind of womaniser.

I've been open and honest about the people I work with and places that I go but this has the opposite effect - if I've mentioned that someone is "attractive" then thats a reason to assume I want to get up to no good.

I'd like to keep the relationship its actually very loving and very special but her jealousy just drives me crazy.

Is there a cure - what can I do?

    Serious answers only please! Thanks

  • Should I send a valentines card to my ex?

We split again after a retry for a few months. It was a 3 year relationship. Loved her to bits but had trouble because she had a kid and it didn't work out. haven't communicated in any way since early Nov - last year.

So - I'm not sure it could ever work out and sure while I miss the hell out of her we won't get together but I just want to send her a card. Just something to say she'll stay the girl of my dreams (and occasional nightmares) for the rest of my life.

The plan is this: Tuesday I fly to Japan, find a valentines card get someone else to write something gooey in it BUT IN JAPANESE and then send it to her from there.

Just to make sure she has something on the 14th of Feb and also so she can't connectit directly to me.

Or should I let sleeping dogs lie?

(not that she's a dog, those of you wanting to go down that route!)

  • Is it possible to find my old X-rays?

I had an accident back in 2000 where I smashed my ribs into lots of bits. Is it possible to find these through medical records or are they likely destroyed?

It was pretty messy (and hurt like hell)

    Thanks for any help

  • Has the love of your life come and gone?

Have just come out of a 3 year relationship that started incredibly, like something out of a movie, strangers on a plane, love at first sight, meeting in romantic rustic wine bars and having the most wonderful conversations. Suddenly I'd found my dream woman, the perfect size, shape, smile, hair, gorgeous eyes, beautiful skin and the cutest butt you ever saw. And did I mention the incredible lovemaking? A match made in heaven you'd think and yes - she'd told me I was the "love of her life". Indeed we would have been married by now, no question, if it were not for a tiny little 10 year old problem that wasn't to be solved. Anyway - push finally came to shove...

So the question. Have you had the "love of your life" and lost it?

More importantly - what the hell happens next? Any advice?

  • A man and his wife were spending the day at the zoo.?

She was wearing a loose fitting, pink dress, sleeveless with straps. He was wearing his usual jeans and T-shirt. As they walked through the ape exhibit, they passed in front of a large, silverback gorilla. Noticing the wife, the gorilla went crazy. He jumped on the bars, and holding on with one hand and 2 feet he grunted and pounded his chest with his free hand. He was obviously excited at the pretty lady in the pink Dress. The husband, noticing the excitement, thought this was funny. He suggested that his wife tease the poor fellow some more by puckering her lips and wiggling her bottom. She played along and the gorilla got even more excited, making noises that would wake the dead. Then the husband suggested that she let one of her straps fall to show a little more skin. She did... And the gorilla was about to tear the bars down. "Now... Show your thighs and sort of fan your dress at him," he said. This drove the gorilla absolutely crazy, and he started doing flips.....

  • Anyone had a near death experience?

I mean a really close call. I had a nasty bike accident once and found myself sitting in the road wondering if this was going to be my last view of the world. Luckily it wasn't. But what I really want to know is what was really going on in your head when you realised it might be your time? I know its personal so apologies in advance.

  • One month sex ban in the relationship?

After getting back together and realising some problems were coming back up we've decided not to have sex for a month.

    That was a week ago.

Tonight we're meeting for a drink in a bar but I know now I want to try and shag her. Probably in the car.

Is this a bad idea? What will she think? Should I bring something to tie her up with just in case? (she likes that)

  • Have you ever worked in an unfriendly situation?

I've been at this office for 6 years. It's multi national and I'm a Brit. Its based in Germany. The problem is that the Germans aren't very friendly. Well, some are, mainly the managers or the people from other departments, but within my office all the Germans seem to ignore me. I think that basically there's a group that don't like the fact that after 6 years I don't speak German with them. This may or may not be the case.

What I want to know is what should I do about it? I don't really want to be friends outside of work with anyone - just to have a bit of courtesy within the workplace.

    What to do?

    Thanks

  • Apocalypse Now - name that tune?

There's a tune being played where the dancing girls are on stage and the GI's are climbing over themselves to get to them. THings get out of hand and the girls have to dissappear off in helicopters (tactical avoidance of the word "chopper" there - please note).

But - whats the name of the tune in the background and who played it. Its bugging me. Cheers fo your help.
