  • Files you use a lot in Photoshop quick link/fast way to open?

I was wondering if there is a interface, window, plugin etc that allows me to designate a few files that I can quickly open files I use all the time in a window on the workspace?

For example. I use my logo on a lot of things, is there a way while I'm using photoshop that I can designate it so with one click I call up the file in Photoshop.

  • How to find empty land in NC - No neighborhoods, HOA, restrictions etc?

I have spent what must be days online looking for empty land, I had a realtor that claimed to specialize in farm land, I can't find what I'm looking for.

    What I'm looking for:

-empty land at least one acre

-within 45 minute drive of a decent sized city in NC (Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Winston etc)

-no HOA, no covenants, no restrictions

    -Not in a neighborhood

    -Has some flat areas

-Ability to have power and high speed internet to site

-not land locked, able to access

-not next to a highway, power lines, sewage plant or the like

Honestly I can't find anything listed, there are a few listed for a million plus, but otherwise no luck.

  • Cheapest international flight doesn't matter when I leave?

I have started my own business and work online 100% I wanted to try living in another country for a 1-3 months.

Essentially I can leave whenever, complete flexibility, I don't care when I come or go. I'm even open to most places as long as they are relatively safe, I can find an apartment for reasonable amount, and I have decent internet.

Most websites require you to put in dates, I don't really have dates, just want cheapest.

What website will allow me to find the cheapest flights for international destinations without having to check every day and a bunch of possible locations. Literally just one stop check for lowest fares quickly and easily.

  • How to calculate loan total cost, monthly paymets etc?

I am making a loan to someone and was going to spell out how the interest would be calculated in the loan agreement. I found the two different formulas online, I'm not sure the difference between the two. When I crunch the numbers with both, neither of them seem to match up with the various "calculators" online. What is the correct formula and how do I find the total cost (principal + Interest) of the loan. I'll also need to know how to handle if someone pays it off early or pay more than the monthly payment.

The loan I want to make:

    Principal: $12,500

    Interest: 4% fixed monthly

    Monthly payment: $250

    Compounded monthly

    Term: ~55 months

    The two Formulas I tried:

    M = P[i(1+i)^n]/[(1+i)^n -1]

    A = P(1 + r/n)^nt

I tried these formulas and none of them matched up with the calculator results online. I tried this one because it showed the monthly payments, remaining balance etc.

  • How to figure out how much power I use in a day - sizing Micro Hydro System?

So my utilities is covered by rent so I don't get a power bill, but I have figured out how much everything uses in a spread sheet.

The trouble I am having is things like A/C or my Fridge that kick on and off as needed. For example, if I have a A/C set to 72 degrees, it isn't blowing cool air constantly. For the fridge, it kicks on its compressor. With micro hydro you don't need batteries because water flows 24/7, so how can I figure out how many kilowatt hours i need to have my system make?

  • Is there an acronym for tactics like there is S.M.A.R.T. for goals setting?

When setting goals it is often suggested that your goals be S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Based). From those goals you develop using the S.M.A.R.T. model your next step is to develop tactics (approaches or tools) to achieve them. I was wondering if anyone knows of an acronym similar to S.M.A.R.T. for goals, but an acronym used to develop tactics?

  • What is the name of the upcoming TV where people have to hide $100k for 48 hours?

I saw an add, but didn't catch the name of it. It essentially goes like this. a team is given $100k to hide from a team of police/detectives. If they can keep it hidden for 48 hours, they get to keep the money.

Any idea what the name is and when it will be coming on?

  • How to monetize a community garden?

I have worked to establish a large community garden with 20 gardeners. We are currently looking to start making money in order to have capital to start a second location that will be much larger, include animals, classes, and a store.

We currently have 8 acres we only use 1 acre. We thought about expanding to some high density beds and selling produce. What would be a some low maintenance, dense planting but high yield crops that we could sell?

What are some other ways to raise money to make this large expansion?

  • What kinda of tractor should I buy?

I am looking for a small tractor. I need something that has more power and functionality than a glorified riding lawn mower, but I don't need something that a professional farmer would use.

I have about 10 acres where I need to do:

    -minor grading

    -tilling 1-2 acres

    -2 acres cutting grass

-moving materials w/ front load bucket

    -small amount of digging

    -possibly collecting hay

What specific tractor (model) do you suggest and how much do they typically go for without attachments.

  • Building a new PC in 2010: What parts should I choose?

I am looking to make a workhorse of a computer. I want a PC, that can handle heavy video producing and photo editing.

Guess I am stuck on what processor and if I should wait for something coming out soon?

Looking for minimum 4 gigs ram (DDR3 would be nice), Graphics card must have 2 DVI outputs, multi-core.

Possibly looking for solid state hard drive as main (250 gig), and a terabyte as second and a terabyte as third just for music. Might be nice to have USB 3.0 support.

  • How do you store Lumber?

I want to go ahead and buy a sizable amount of lumber (2x4, 2x8, plywood, etc) to keep on hand in my shop. What is the best way to store the wood so that it doesn't warp, twist, degrade in quality, breakdown.

I would assume keep it in a dry, cool place with little light. What else?
