Thanks for visiting my page- I'm just here to help others and maybe get a little in return ;) Message me with any questions you might have.

  • A very specific book question--can remember the plot but no title!?

The young women of this village are warned not to go too high on the mountain too late because a vampire will whisk them away as his bride and then kill them (or make them vampires?). Naturally, a homely girl goes up there with a beautiful girl, and the vampire comes to sweep the beauty away.

When they come to the castle, he has terrifying gargoyles that act as guard dogs, and I think she meets the other wives who've had their souls leached away, and has to sew her veil. This is all very jumbled, I'm sorry.

She ends up meeting a dwarf (?) who helps her hide in the caverns behind the house... and in the end I think the vampire is redeemed?

Do you guys have ANY idea at all what this is?

  • I'm selling an iPhone to a friend--how much?

It is an iPhone 3G, in pretty good condition. It has tiny scratches on the screen (general wear), and a small crack on the back (not fatal). With it, I'll include a charger cord (no AC converter) and a Defender Otterbox.

I paid $100 for it when I got it from a friend, and now I'm selling it to a friend who just destroyed his own phone--I don't want to rip him off, but I don't want to get ripped off!

How much should I ask for it?

  • Looking for a sewing pattern for my wedding dress?

I am looking for a sewing pattern similar to this:

    http://www.weddinginspirasi.com/wp-content/uploads...

Does anyone know where to find one? I found a pattern that closely corresponds with the part under the lace, but I'm still looking!

  • I need help with wedding colors?

The venue I have chosen is an experimental theatre. White muslin fabric will be hung on all sides, softening the usually industrial look (black curtains, grid, catwalk). There will be a lot of greens--tree gobos, a hung "canopy" to create a "whimsical forest" look.

    Here's the problem:

I have one bridesmaid, and I have no idea what colors to use, and no idea what flowers to use. I love green, but the theatre will have a lot of green through lights.

    Any ideas?

  • How can I help my friend get out of his comfort zone?

My friend just moved to the city I live in, and he needs a job ASAP!

The problem is he is incredibly insecure and shy.

There are several listed that he is qualified for, but for each one we look at, he has one hundred excuses for why he'll fail. He won't call anyone (he hates phone conversations), and he won't inquire about an opportunity if a job isn't posted. He avoids looking for jobs, and when I finally get him to go on a job-hunting day with me, he gets discouraged after the first rejection. He says he wants to stay here, but it's unlikely with his current attitude.

I've tried everything--gentle encouragement, heart-to-heart talks, even reprimands... and nothing is getting through to him.

  • How to organize out of control power strip?

My power strip is out of control! I have several devices plugged into a power strip (they need to stay in the area, otherwise I'd put them up), and if I unplug them and leave them there, they get tangled.

Any ideas for a do-it-yourself cord organizer?

  • No matter how I style my hair, I always have fly-aways?

I have fuzzy, shorter hairs at my hair line (fly-aways). I cannot tame them, no matter what I do! I understand that they are new hairs growing in, but it doesn't matter how much time I give them, they are always there, like ridiculous antennae.

If I straighten them, they stick out.

Mousse and hairspray don't work, and if I use enough to plaster them down, I look like a wet rat.

Any advice on how to tame fuzzy fly-aways without overdosing on product?

  • Wedding party numbers don't add up?

If a bride has four to five potential party members, and the groom can only think of one friend he would ask, what needs to take precedence--the bride's symmetry or the groom's preference?

  • Invitation ettiquette?

I have some close relatives (aunts and uncles) on my father's sude that are bums. And I don't mean "oh, they are so lazy," bums, I mean semi-homeless, drunken bums. They are unpredictable and inappropriate in most settings in which I have seen them. I'm planning a wedding, and I feel obligated to invite them because they are family, but I am almost sure they will do something embarrassing/terrible/offensive and ruin the event! The "send them an invitation to be polite because they probably won't show" option is a crap shoot--sometimes they don't show, and other times they hitch a ride and show up randomly.

I don't want to offend them or my father by not inviting them, but I want this day to be perfect! Any advice?

  • In a drug company, what would be the job title of someone who "does directions and packages copy"?

I'm directing a short play in which four people need to name a drug- they are bewildered and frantic because, as one character says: "This isn't our department, Madeline. We're only supposed to be doing the directions and packaging copy." However, none of my research has shown me exactly what that specific job is called. Help?

  • Should I finish up my antibiotics?

I was given antibiotics for an ear infection, and in the course of moving around from dorm to dorm to home, it's been at least two weeks since I've taken a pill.

I've still got them, I just wondered if it would be safe/OK to finish them, and if it is, should I bother?

  • How do I unlock my phone? Best answer will be chosen!?

I have had a Samsung Flight for a few weeks now- today I left it in my purse without locking the screen, and when I took it out, it demanded an unlock code. After a few tries, it told me that I had exceeded my allowed number of password attempts. Not knowing what else to do, I shut it off and turned it back on. Now it says:

    “SIM unavailable

    Please contact

    service provider”

And the only options are “SOS” and “call”

When I hit “call”, it takes me to my dialing screen, but I can’t call/text, or access my address book (the three options at the bottom).

Starting in 2014 (?) everyone will be required to purchase health care coverage, or they will be fined annually, right? What happens if you can't afford it?

  • What do I wear on my date?
