  • If your wifi router has larger range, wouldn't that not matter if your receiving end can't send a signal back?

I've been looking at expanding my wifi range. I'm pretty well versed in my options in terms of routers, directional antennas, and repeaters, but there's something that's been bothering me. If I use a directional antenna with a high powered router to send a signal through walls and over a long distance to a neighbor who has a laptop, will she be able to have internet? I mean... the power on her laptop's antenna isn't going to be of the same power as the beefed up directional antenna, so how can she get a signal back and have 2 way communication? I thought that maybe the router would also be more sensitive to a received signal, but I can't seem to google search this one out. Anyone who knows about wifi communication have the answer for me?

  • How do I invest in Samsung from the US?

I've looked around for a symbol, but it seems that Sammy doesn't trade on the US stock exchange and they're also split up into different departments. I've read about the "iShares MSCI South Korea Index Fund", but that only consists of ~22% Samsung electronics and ~7% Samsung related companies. I'm looking for a way to put my money in their production of the ipad screens and their smartphone market. Anyone know how I can get more concentrated exposure of these aspects of Samsung without investing in the Korean market as a whole?

  • Is it legal to run a domain name that is named similarly, but not exactly, to a product the site is advertising?

I'm thinking of trying out some affiliate marketing and I was thinking of trying to advertise a book. The exact domain of the book is taken, probably by the author, but the plural form of it isn't. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find out (or if you know your law) if I would legally be allowed to run the plural url as an affiliate site where I advertise the book and post reviews, etc... If it's not legal, why, and how similar am I allowed to make a domain name?

    Thanks! Greatly appreciated!

  • How many people total are going to answer this question? What did you do to figure out that number?

I'm curious about the reasoning people will use to answer this question, and about the final answer.
