  • how long for HCG level to go down after a miscarriage?

    I just joined the miscarriage percentage rate :{

    I had pregnancy symptoms early in my pregnancy and they stayed strong until about week 5.5, and the doctor saw a sac, by week 6.5 i got heavy cramping where i laid down all night, and a tiny bit of blood weds, then thursday morning blood, nothing crazy heavy like you hear, but def a bit mucas, red, heavy, i went to ER they said prob miscarriage come back in a few days for more blood work, and he didnt see anything on the scan. Im wondering if Thurday most of it came out, because after thursday for 3 days i had no more cramping, but light bleeding. Sunday night at hospital they found my HCG level went from 860 Thursday down already to 200 on Sunday. Is that typically fast for them to drop? If they dropped that much in a few days should it hopefully be back to 0-5 by the end of this week? Should I expect more pain and crazy bleeding, or is the biggest part probably done? I'm just a bit scared because i'm going out of the country for a few days on Thursday so I hope the worst is over and my husband and i can just move on.

    thanks

  • could i be miscarrying?

    I should be 6.5 weeks along in my pregnancy. I had symptoms like boob fullness, and headaches and tired for first 3 weeks. By week 5 symptoms subsided.

    I went to the ER cuz I live in Canada and my doc appointment isn't until july to see hormone levels at 5.5 weeks. He did probe vaginal ultrasound and said he saw a cyst on left ovary, and then saw a little sac. He said in a week or so the heartbeat could be heard.

    Well my husband and I had sex on Tuesday night 6 weeks pregnant. Weds I was doing some house work,and by 3 had cramps so i decided to chill and relax and rested the rest of the night. i had some cramping in my back too. I saw a little red blood before bed and got worried. Nothing in my liner the next mornings, but when i peed more blood came. I went straight back to the ER, the doctor was a bit cold, simply proffesional which is fine, but didn't give me much hope. He did an ultrasound regular not probe said he didn't see anything in there, but a full bladder. They did blood work and he said my hormone levels for pregnancy were very very low. So i go back monday to do bloodwork again to see if they go up or down :{

    That being said since that last 24 hours, Ive had a bit more blood, but nothing crazy crazy more than a panty liner, or so. Its reddish and dark but fresh. I don't have anymore cramping though and feel fine. So im confused could I be at the start of a miscarriage or could it just be some break through bleeding? home preg test still say strong positive.

  • Ft. Lauderdale or Siesta Key Fl?

    Hello, I am trying to decide between these two destinations. I normally go to Costa Rica every year for a few months, but a change of plans next year. A few months after I have a baby my husband wants to fly me somewhere to relax for a month end of April to May, but he wants it to be safe and close to medical units, hence I'm not allowed to go to Costa Rica. :{

    I'm between these two towns. I have friends that live near both of them. I am looking for a place where I don't need a car I can walk easily to the beach or to get groceries, or restaurants. A laid back feel, that isn't crazy busy. Maybe some things to do nearby or parks since I won't be taking my baby out in the sun during mid day.

    Thanks

  • implantation bleeding or period?

    I've been on birth control for a long time to regulate since I was a teen, 14-32. I always had regular cycle on the dot, day and time every month.

    Well I finished my pills end of feb and didn't start new pack as my hubby and i are ready to try. March i got period on time without being on the pill, and April it came on time as well, which i was surprised.

    My ovulate tests never said positive, but TUES May 1st which would have been peak for ovulation, the test finally said positive! We had sex that previous Saturday and again Tues and Weds.

    Thursday May 3 i took another ovulate test it said negative so i think i ovulated in that time. Since then I had mild cramps, and 12 days after Thursday May 3rd, I got a bit of brown redish light discharge, like a period but way way lighter on Tuesday the 15th i am expecting my period Today Friday 18th, So Tues and Weds I had light spotting mostly brown a tiny bit red pink then back to brown and still have cramping, which i never get during or before my period. I haven't come up positive in pregnancy test yet.

    Could I be prego or could it have just been a super light and early period, which is actually not normal, since being off the pill for two months i've been more red and heavier than on the pill. Sorry for TMI, I'm just curious and hoping i got a muffin in the oven!

  • are dolphins good l uck?

    I've heard back in the olden days dolphins were considered a sign of good luck. Does anyone think this is true? I was just curious, because recently my husband and I had a beach renewal ceremony on the beach we met at 5 years ago in Costa Rica. Literally 2-3 minutes after we said our vows about 6 dolphins started doing flips so very close to the shore, just a few hundred feed from us. My friends who live in Costa Rica said in 20 years they have never seen dolphins so close to the shore, so I was wondering if it was maybe some magic and good luck :}

  • Pregnancy after birth control/ getting prego?

    so I have just 3 more months of enjoying wine until I get off birth control, my husband and I plan on trying to conceive in march, which is our 5 year anniversary :}

    I was irregular at the age of 14, I had my period for 6 months straight, until we found birth control regulated it. I am 33 now and have been on the pill religiously since I was 14, almost 20 years. I may have skipped a few pills (10) a day or two in the past 20 years, but I am pretty precise when it comes to my pills.

    That being said, I've heard both sides of the spectrum. That it could take some time for me to get pregnant, or it could happen very quickly. I've also heard that your body could go into a confused state and drop more than one egg, resulting in twins, which my ambitious husband would love hahah, others say this has nothing to do with twins,

    Has anyone gotten pregnant quickly after long term birthcontrol, and has anyone resulted in twins that don't run in the family? On my mom's side her first cousin had triplets, but I don't think anyone else.

    thanks for any advice, I've been taking folic acid the past 3 months, is there any other vitamins I should incorporate now?

  • paying off a house morgage?

    We are looking to purchase a home. Let's say we put 50% cash down towards the house, then the rest we get a 3 year morgage.

    Let's say we get a amortization period of 10 years to keep monthly payments lower, at the end of the three year morgage, are we able to pay off the house in full with no penalties if we have the cash instead of signing another morgage?

    i know this may sound silly, but i've always rented so home buying is all new to me

    thanks!

  • Wheaten Terrier or Tibetan terrier?

    After much research i am in between these two breeds. I myself grew up with labs, pitt bulls and pugs, but my husband (who's afraid of bigger dogs bad childhood experience) is more into small medium dogs. I thought these two breeds were perfect because of their happy disposition and the fact they don't shed so much, even though i will have to groom them regularly.

    I'm just torn between the two. Personally I think Wheatens are on the cuter side. I hear the wheatens can be stubborn and hyper. I work from home so I will be around the dog/pup 85% of the time, so I will have that extra time to repremand it and train it. I want an active happy dog, but also one that can be independant and home alone too. I've read that Tibetan terriers have a more mellow personality. We will be living in an apt for a few years, before we buy a bigger house.

    If anyone has any experience with these breeds personal feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Has anyone encountered seperation anxiety. I wonder if I'm around it so much that when I do depart it will get sad and anxious, unless I have regular time outs with it, so it can be used to quiet time... seperation time.

    thanks. oh and i live in montreal where its colder more than hot

  • tingle in leg and foot?

    Im 31, healthy female, no major conditions, i exercize about 6 days a week, pretty fit, eat fairly healthy, and dont smoke. I noticed about a year and half ago sometimes i would get this annoying little tingle on my left calf, i'd try and rub it out, forget about it, i was a waitress for years so i thought all the standing maybe was affecting it, then it would disapear. Well this year i got it again, for like 3 weeks a light tingle on left leg. bam disappears, now its back again. No other symptoms really except for this light tingle on bottom of foot and left leg.

    Im super scared to have MS, i have a nueroligist appointment in a few weeks, it was canceled by doctor in June :{ so i had to wait, so I'm gona ask him what it could be and do tests. Has anyone had this. Could I have MS with just one tiny symptom and not have any other symptoms. I did blood work another doctor ordered but they never called back so i assume the results were in normal range, for diabetes ect, but im still gona check. I'm just freaking out abit because I have no clue why my leg tingles and it comes and goes.

    MY one doctor friend said it might just be a vascular disease, or poor circulation, im just really scared. If I asked the nuero for an MRI would they do it, or need more symptoms?

    any thoughts, Im bugging out!

  • what should i name my book?

    I wrote a series of comical essays book, based on adventures I've had.

    Below is the synopsis, which of these titles should I name it?

    1) Splash, the world is my puddle

    2) Cali for my kidney

    3) Adventures of a girl not so famous

    In this sarcastically written book of essays, Emily takes getting in and out of trouble to a whole new level.

    A small town girl chasing dreams in Manhattan as a struggling actress, Emily finds herself in one crazy adventure after another. She explains the ups and downs of serving pretzels for a living, while cluing readers in on the secrets of airline. One day she’s riding around with Mr. Softee, the next day she’s naively being flown first class to Los Angeles by a sketchy director. She almost sold her kidney on the black market for money to move to California, and almost married a guy in Vegas she never slept with.

    While she might not be rich or famous, she lives an exciting life abundant in adventure. She's been almost kidnapped, chased by mobsters, and attacked stray dogs in Costa Rica, her theory is "The world is my puddle waiting for me to splash."

    thanks!

  • what type of wheaten terrier is bigger and fuzzier?

    Oh wheatens i cant wait to get one, next spring. I know they are stubborn, a bit hyper, and sweet, just like me :}, I have heard there is a difference in the Irish, and the North American breed types. I was looking for the ones that are a bit bigger and have the softer fuzzier hair like a stuffed animal. Not the smaller type with the wirey hair. can anyone direct me in the way of breed types.

    Also i know they require lots of attention and training in the first few years, luckily i work from home so the dog can be around me 85% of the day. Does anyone have tips on disipline or training with these dogs, i know they have short attention span so smaller increments might be better. I was raised with labs and pitt bulls so i know their personalities are a bit different.

    thanks!!

  • wheaten terrier do they bark a lot?

    I am hoping to get a puppy once my husband and I are settled next spring. I grew up with all types of dogs, he is scared of dogs, lol, so i found the perfect breed for us, a non shedding medium size, cute wheaten terrier. i hear they are different than what im used to ....pitt bulls (sweetest dogs ever) labradors ( best listeners so smart) i hear wheatens are the typical terrier, stubborn with lots of energy, I'm willing to deal and spend the time training because regardless of the breed if you put in the time and energy i feel you will have a good outcome of a dog once it gets older, I understand they do have high energy.... we will be living in an apartment the first few years, then moving onto a house, I'll have a flexible schedule probably where 80% of the time i can take the dog with me wherever I go, has anyone had experience with raising them and are they typical yappers barkers, or do they bark when they hear stuff, people at the door, ect. I hate how little breeds bark bark bark, i had a roommate that had a pug that had seperation anxiety when i wasnt aroaund and howled and howled until i came home lol, thanks!!!

  • wedding invitations and grooms parents name?

    ohh wedding details, i keep putting off ordering invitations because i just didn't want to "deal" finally i went online, saw a pretty design for my budget, and just chose the wording they had, seemed simple enough i put in our names and voila! complete. thought it was a piece of cake til my mom got them delivered to her home and said very pretty, but you didn't put Christophers parent's name on them! ooopsy

    is it standard to add the groom's parents names?

    Technically we are legally married we had to do civil service for me to immigrate to Canada, but this is our ceremony for our friends and family.... very small budget all on my farm, my parents are paying for it but his parents did chip in. His parents are not too sensitive, so im we don't think they will really care, but you never know don't want to hurt feelings.

    The invitations said The Winstons would request your presence in their daughter, Elizabeth Winston wedding to Christopher Robinson. then it had the information at our home address and time.

    we could always squeeze in his family's name on a few invitaions, since they are only inviting 2-3 family members on their side, the rest is more of our freinds and family, but its confusing cuz his dad got remarried, to a woman that never took his last name they been together for 20 years she's from another country too haha, and then we have his mother who has a whole another name so all the wording might be akward, should i just leave well enough alone?

    eye yi yi, .....any imput would be greatly appreciated.
