What are my chances of getting custody back?
About 12yrs ago cps took my child because her father had hit her due to her age they wanted to adopt her off so I gave custody to my child's "great" grandparents, one has passed away the other is 75 she has since given child to another family member. While my child has been in family care she has been molested, physically and emotionally abused. I recently petitioned the courts to get custody back, i have a hearing in 2 weeks and am on pins and needles unsure what to expect. since the molest allegation family has turned child against me telling her its my fault what happened to her and Im a bad mother. Child hasn't spoken to me much since this has come out, i pushed family to report this to the cops even called cps myself. she recently told me she "hates me" i am sure its all because of what they have been putting in her head and having to talk to the many different ppl that have come to ask her questions.. do i have a chance of getting custody back?... what if child doesn't want to?.. (she had wanted to for many years till the abuse came out) my spouse says she has "Stockholm syndrome" not sure if i spelled correctly .. they've guilted the child to have to "need" to live with them since their only means of income is the support we pay saying "what would your auntie do without you living here, she hasn't any income" please help.. tell me how it is, the good and bad! i need to prepare myself emotionally
I have been apart of my child's whole life including my spouse. She has been with us many weekends, holidays, and family vacations. I married 9yrs ago, we had a son together 8yrs ago, my spouse relocated to the city my child lived in so that i can be closer to her. I have thought of getting custody before but thought it would be best for her where she was since that is what she "knew". But just last month she tells me her uncle had molested her and aunt hits on her (this is where she lives) so it left me with no choice. all I ever wanted for her was to be happy and I thought letting her be where I thought she was safe was ok .. *fyi* her father hasn't been in the picture for 10yrs ... the "great" grandmother I originally gave custody to has written a letter saying i have changed my life around and would be in the best interest of the child

really now, if you look its like 6 ppl asked the same question in a row, if you just look before you ask you just might already have the answer.
