  • The college baseball recruiting process?

I'm a high school baseball player and I know I have the potential to play at the college level. The classes ahead of me have always had depth to the rosters so there's never been much space for me to squeeze in. I played freshman ball my freshman year, and I played junior varsity my sophomore year. I showed average each year. This year I'm a junior and I feel like I need to make the varsity squad to really have a chance at playing in college. I can't just wait for the season and hope I play amazing and colleges see my stats in the paper or something.

I'm being realistic. I'm a hard worker and the coaches know that. If I make it on the varsity roster this season, I'm going to have to beat out a senior and another junior for the starting role at third base (my primary position). I know I can beat out the senior. The junior is one of our aces so I could play third when he pitches. I also play 2nd and can play SS but those are pretty much filled. From what I can see, I would be about 5th or 6th on the starting rotation for pitching. Reading all of that you'd think there's no way, but I do have some things going in my favor. Last year's coach left after 1 year and his assistant (who was also new last year) took over. This new coach is a lot more liked by players and the parents. I feel like he likes me and notices my work. Also, one starting senior is out for the season already and another one is about to have surgery. We will only have about 2 or 3 starting seniors this year.

I realize what I have to do: I need to work hard as I have been doing and make the best of every opportunity I'm given. Every time I get in the game I need to make something happen.

However, I know that there's more out there than just playing games and putting up numbers (although that plays a big role, no doubt about that). I'm asking what is that "something else?" Showcases? Summer teams? What kind if summer team? How will I know a good one? I live in Ohio if that helps. How should I attempt to contact colleges if I've never been on varsity? Should I even do that since I never have?

I regret not starting this earlier and I need to go now.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks a ton.

  • Copyright infringement?

The "Keep Calm and _____" thing, is that copyrighted? There are numerous sites out there that will generate your own design for you, but could it be an issue if I used one of those designs to out on a t-shirt and sell? I feel like it shouldn't because the designs are so general, but I don't know for sure.

  • The Sims 3: Generations vs. No Generations?

I know you can have kids in regular Sims games, but say I had TS3 Pets or Seasons and not Generations, what would I not be able to do? Basically, what are you missing out on/restricted from doing if you DON'T have Generations?

  • Question about The Sims 3?

So EA is having a deal through Thanksgiving and it says that you can buy one game and get a second game free! I have never had the Sims before because my computer is kinda slow but I'm going to try it! Even if it doesn't work out I should be getting a laptop soon so that will help! There is a list which you can choose your game from and here they are:

List of games you can buy....

    - TS3

    - TS3 Seasons

    - TS3 + Seasons

    - TS3 Supernatural

    - TS3 + Supernatural

    - TS3 Diesel Stuff

    - TS3 Katy Perry

    - TS3 Showtime

    - TS3 + Showtime

    - TS3 Generations

    - TS3 Pets

    - TS3 + Pets

Obviously some of those are ruled out because I don't have the base game. I really wanted generations but since I don't have the base game I can't. Question #1: Does this mean I can't have kids and stuff ifi don't have generations? What does generations add that the other games don't have?

Also, I need YOUR help, Simmers, on helping me decide which pack would be better for me to get and which would be the best experience for a first-time Simmer. I have narrowed it down to TS3 + Seasons and TS3 + Pets. I have watched Youtube reviews on both but can't decide! Both look super cool! I want pets but I also want a change in the seasons and holidays!

Next, there is a list of games that you can choose one of for free:

    - TS3 Ambitions

    - TS3 Master Suite Stuff

    - TS3 Town Life Stuff

    - TS3 High End Loft Stuff

    - TS3 Outdoor Living Stuff

    - TS3 World Adventures

    - TS3 Late Night

In this group, I've narrowed it down to Ambitions, Late Night, and maybe Outdoor Living. Question #2: is the only new addition to Ambitions is that you get new jobs and careers? What else comes with it? Late Night looks cool and I like the celebrity stuff but I would get annoyed by the vampires and stuff. However, getting that new downtown-ish town looks awesome, and can't you just turn off vampires anyways?

So I need your guys' help to aid me in deciding which should be my first games! Of course I can but more eventually but I'd like to really get some good ones first! I really appreciate your help and thanks for the advice! (I've never had any Sims game before, so can you please REALLY describe the features/reasons you enjoy each game). Thanks!

  • Sims 3 PC vs. Xbox360?

Hey. I have really wanted to get the Sims 3 lately and I was checking YouTube videos out on people building sweet houses and the building is so in depth. I would not be able to get the Sims 3 for my PC because my computer is really slow. I've heard how amazing the PC version is and it definitely makes me wish my computer was better. However, can anyone tell me the biggest differences between The Sims 3 for PC and The Sims 3 Xbox 360? Thanks! Mainly I'd like to know if the house building is as in depth as it appeared on the PC. I'd also like to know if you can still create all the people and turn them to automatic so you can just focus on controlling the town and stuff and not worry about their individual needs. Also, is it relatively hard to earn Simoleons in the game (hopefully not as hard as The Sims Freeplay for the iPad). Thanks!

  • can someone help me with college?

Okay I'm a sophomore in HS and am thinking a little bit about college. Right now I'm thinking of getting an associate's degree in sport and fitness management and a bachelor's degree in business administration and management. How would I go about scheduling these? I've heard of GERs and understand that but can someone explain somewhat what my weekly schedule would look like? and how long would it take to complete? Thanks!

  • Star Wars just wondering?

Hey how many people actually still like Star Wars? I was wondering haha this isn't really a question I just wanted to know who does I like the Clone Wars series on CartoonNetwork a lot.

Also, if you do like SW, check this out: http://www.clones15.proboards.com/index.cgi

I'm not spamming I'm just saying that this is a website I made about SW and not that many people joined so I thought "how many people out there actually STILL like Star Wars?"

    A couple other questions:

What do you like about SW?

Do you like the movie saga or the TV sereis (Clone Wars) better?

Who is your favorite SW character?

    Thanks!

  • Which college(s) do you recommend?

I am only a freshman in HS but I was wondering if you could give me your opinions on which college(s) I should look into. I live in Ohio and am currently considering University of Miami (OH) and University of Cincinnati. If I could go to college far away I am considering UCLA. Thanks!
