Older games should run fine on my system but they don't?
Older games (like SWAT 4, GTA: San Andreas or CoD2) should be able to run at around 30+FPS on my system however they do at around the first 2-3 minutes of starting them up and then they gradually get slower and slower (drops to about a single digit FPS - 15FPS, although I haven't checked yet, most noticeable in GTA San Andreas). This shouldn't be a problem because my system should be capable of running then at a solid FPS like I mentioned above. The specs are: 3GB RAM, 128MB VRAM, Intel dual-core CPU T3200 (legacy), 2.00GHz for both cores, 64-bit, Windows 7 build 7601 service pack 1. Is the problem that my system is a laptop? My friend used to have a PC of 2GB RAM and worse specs than my laptop and managed to run the games at a much higher framerate than I can with my system. This has been an issue ever since I got the system 2 years ago.
2 AnswersPC1 year agoWhat is Winbooterr? (Svchost.exe *32)?
I noticed that my computer is running slowly recently. Checked task manager and saw Svchost.exe *32. The *32 was pretty odd. So I opened file location and it opened up to a folder named Winbooterr located in AppData\Roaming. If I go back to Roaming the folder is not shown, but is still present. The folder seemed empty, but when viewing the properties for it I noticed two things.
1 File(s). 0 Folders
Creation date: Friday, June 30, 2006, 4:58:04 AM.
I did a PC scan on Avast and it detected it, and now it's prompting me to restart my computer to contain it.
I don't know if its a trojan or spyware tool but if it were the creator would not have control over my computer anymore due to the creation date? I don't know if Avast will fix the problem, but I'm seeking some answers on Svchost.exe *32, Winbooterr and other related information.

3 AnswersMonitors2 years agoHow do I copy data to a TXT file using Batch?
I'm writing a text adventure game in Batch, and I want to implement a save game system.
When prompted to save, it would save a TXT file with commands in it, that when loading the game it would type SAVEGAME.TXT and load the progress? i was just wondering if its possible to add data to a TXT file using batch. I know you can make them using copy con SAVEGAME.TXT but how exactly do I put something in there?
