  • BEGINNER CHEMISTRY QUESTIONS?

I need some help with these true/false questions that I have as homework. I've tried them a few times, but I can't seem to get the correct combination.

    Au2O is gold(I) oxide T/F

    NaO is sodium oxide T/F

    Cr2O3 is chromium(III) oxide T/F

    Ag2O is silver(II) oxide T/F

    CuCl is copper(II) chloride T/F

    All the numbers are subscripts....

I can only receive marks if I get all the statements correct, so please let me know if you're guessing on some of them...thanks!

  • University Beginner Level Chemistry Question Help!?

Hello, I am working on an online chemistry homework question, but I'm stuck after several attempts. There are 5 statements, and for each one I have to choose "true" or "false". I am confident with some of them, but not all, and I only receive a mark for getting all of them right.

    Q 1: A 7s and a 7p subshell would contain the same number of orbitals. T/F?

Q 2: All of the orbitals in a subshell have the same energy. T/F?

Q 3: An s orbital is spherical in shape. T/F?

Q 4: The n=2 shell can accommodate a maximum of eight electrons. T/F?

Q 5: For the hydrogen atom, all of the subshells in a shell have the same energy. T/F?

Please don't give guesses, because I have to get all of the statements correct in order to receive the mark. If you're confident with some of them, but not all, just let me know which ones you are and are not.

    Thank you!
