I just got a 1999 Jeep Cherokee yesterday. When driving 55-60 it violently shakes and it doesn't stop until you slow way down. I brought it to pep boys thinking it just needed an alignment ot balanced tires( since the tires and rims for it were just put on it) they said it was the steering rod link, cupped tires, alingment. He said its like $800 or more to fix. I've never even heard of a steering rod link. I'm very mechanicaly inclined. Is this something I could do myself? I need all kinds of advice. Is it really just an alignment and unbalanced tires? It only has 81k miles!

Today I was walking my dog and he pooped out a White Worm. It was flat and about an inch long. Looked like a really flat white leach. There was only one worm though. What is it? What are the symptoms? Does he have to be brought into a vet?

I am wondering how much it will cost me to fix a 2000 Pontiac GTP tranny. It slips right out of gear. So the whole tranny needs to be replaced. How much would the tranny cost. And if I get it done profesionally how much would it cost all together? Thank you!

My speedometer on my motorcycle stopped working. It can't be fixed and the part is hard to find. I don't want to replace it right now. All I want to know is if there is something else I can use in replace of the speedometer, fairly cheap, and fairly accurate, and not huge. And where can I get it and what is the cost. I have a GPS but its really expensive and I don't know how to mount it on the bike and not have to worrie about it falling off and breaking. Please help me. Thanks!

my speedometer isnt working on my crotch rocket. i really dont want to have to buy a new one and was wondering if there was a way to fix it? i know the cable is good because i took it off of the wheel and used my electric drill and turned it and the speedometer worked. so i know it has to do with the speedo drive. can you take them apart and spray some wd 40 in it or is there a way to fix it? let me know. thanks.

Okay I just baught this crotch roket. Its a 250cc. Its made by Roketa. Its a 2008. I don't have an owners manual for it. It has some stuff wrong with it. The speedometer doesn't work, nor odometer. Rpms work and gas gauge works. The gables are fine. The gas tank vibrates. I don't know hoe to adjust the idle. It idles at 3k rpms, and it doesn't idle smooth. Somethimes it makes a weird sound like it just sneezed. Sounds like its comming frome the carbs. like it just lost gas or airflow for a split second. If anyone knows anything about any of this stuff please help me. Thanks

So I saw an ad on CL for a 3000GT. Its beautiful looking and only has 127k on it. Everything works fine on it but the guy said it has a spun rod bearing. How much does that cost to get it done in a shop? Is it something I can do myself? How hard is it? The guy only wants $800 for the car. I want it bad but I don't want to have to put a bunch of money into it. prices please. Thatnks.

I just recently bought a 2008 Rocketa 250cc MC-113 crotch rocket. I rode it around and it has no power. I touched the exhaust pipe(dual exhaust) and one pipe wasn't hot. So I changed the spark plugs. Still not working. It has dual carbs. I took float bowls off and sprayed it with carb cleaner. Still not firing on one cylinder. Any other ideas? It still runs and drives but it takes 5 minutes to warm up and it doesn't accelerate like it should. Help me please!
