I realy want to know how many people on this forum are "fans" of the red Sox. I sense alot of negativity from the Women claiming to be red sox fans, however I recieve intelegent replies from the Male red Sox fans, Why is that?

I have heard that the arm gaurd Barry wears is actualy a swing aid, this does not suprise me, I have always thought anyone wearing one would not be inhibited by it.

Here is the scenario, nobody on nobody out, batter hits the ball for a base hit, he turns towards second and watches the ball come into the pitcher, mind you he is still off the bag looking to advance to second. the pitcher immidiately stands on the pitchers plate. the catcher is still out of position as well as the ss and 2nd baseman. Can I send the baserunner to second?

As I understand the rule the catcher and the pitcher have to be ready to prevent the runner from advancing,(or the umpire calling time).
