Can anyone please tell me about their experience with zumba?
I *really* need to lose about 30 pounds of fat. I know about diets, I just need to start a new job to pay for all the food, so if you have done zumba, can you just tell me about that? How difficult are the classes on a scale of 1-10? (I don't care how hard they are in terms of if I'll still sign up or not, I am doing them regardless.) Did you enjoy the environment at your gym or studio? Once the weight loss started, how quickly did it continue to come off? Did you take any weight loss supplements or anything? How often did you take your classes? Thank you!
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness9 years agoIs Indianapolis an ugly city?
I am just looking for your personal opinion, I may be moving there. Do you personally feel that it's a pleasant place to live? (I take into account that there are different parts of town so there will be different experiences) I mean, as a whole, what is your opinion of this city?
5 AnswersIndianapolis9 years agoDoes anyone know where I can read this book 'Kuroi Kaiju' (Black Sea of Trees) online?
I tried to find it, but my internet skills pretty much suck. Does anyone know where I can read the english translation of this book? Or where I can get the torrent?
2 AnswersBooks & Authors9 years agoWhich self tanning products actually work?
I'm too scared to actually try any tanning lotions or sprays because I've witnessed so many..... tragic, to say the least, outcomes with tanning products. I'm not so concerned with being tan that I want to wreck my skin every summer laying out. Even when I do lay out, I burn and then don't get much darker if at all. Which products do what they promise, and don't turn you orange, splotchy, discolored in certain areas, etc? And obviously I know that I have to apply it correctly to avoid some of these issues even with products that do work. Thank you!

6 AnswersMilitary9 years agoWill I lose any weight in Navy bootcamp?
I know I'm overweight, though I don't particularly look it. When I go to MEPS I'm pretty sure they're going to say something about it, but anyways... I'm getting mixed feedback on the difficulty of the physical aspect in the Navy. Some are saying it's pathetically easy, others are saying it's difficult but with the right mind frame it's fine. My guess is that it all depends on your physical abilities going in. I'm not enlisting to go on the Navy diet and fitness program haha, I just started thinking about how much running I'm going to have to do and I would like to know how much fat I'm going to lose and what I'm to expect or what's to be expected of me physically when I get in.
24 AnswersMilitary9 years agoWill I lose weight in Navy bootcamp?
I'm enlisting and I'm not going in to lose weight necessarily, but my uncle told me I won't be overweight anymore and I started thinking about it, and I do need to lose like 25 lbs. Anyways, my friends tell me that "they know ______ who went into bootcamp and didn't lose any weight blah blah blah," however, I think that it might be one of those situations that's sort of like, you get out what you put in.
Also, it may end up that I don't lose weight but I lose body fat, is that what will happen?

1 AnswerRap and Hip-Hop9 years agoAre hip tattoos trashy or sexy?
I'm trying to figure out if I want to get a tattoo there. I don't want one on my rib cage or my wrists, or my back or anywhere like that. I feel like everyone has tattoos there.
I also don't want to look like a harlot. Feedback? Any ideas of a discrete and unique place to put a tattoo? Also I'm a female, in case there's any confusion.
11 AnswersTattoos9 years agoWhat is the name of this car?
I've seen it often in movies and I remember a neighbor having one when I was little. It kind of has the body of a jeep, a small bed like a truck would have, and you can put the top down similar to a jeep wrangler. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I almost want to say that Ford manufactured it, but I really can't remember it's been so many years ago that I got a good look at one.
If anyone knows the model and things like that, please answer this for me, or any other models similar to this description! Thanks!

1 AnswerAdd-ons9 years agoCan someone please explain why my dreams are so strange every night?
I always remember my dreams, and they're always extremely weird. I'll wake up and just be like okay... whatever subconscious whatever I'm harboring right now, it is not healthy.
For example, last night I had a dream that I let a balloon outside and when I went out to get it, there were all these rocky mountains out there and some PE classes were doing yoga on them. I was trying really hard to find the balloon, but then I realized that it wasn't a balloon anyways, it was a goat. And I was trying to catch a cab in the mountains to catch up with the goat. But then my pet cow was in the way (I don't really own a cow but in my dream I did.) I couldn't find the goat so I just went back in the house where my grandmother was ordering pizza. Then this really hot kid from my math class walked in and he was texting and was on facebook on his phone and was completely ignoring me, so I went upstairs and there it gets a little fuzzy, I think this lifeguard was trying to do my hair and my friend Nichole came over and was trying to give me something to drink, but it turned out to be hair, and I'm not sure. But I go back downstairs because there was an earthquake, and my grandmother's motioning for me to go outside. I look out the window and there's a little tiny red truck pulling in (I mean tiny. Like 3 foot tall tiny) and out walks this dude who graduated last year but who I saw this past Monday, and I got really nervous so I walked out to his car and offered to help carry something, because I guess he was the pizza delivery dude. We went inside and I kept feeling nervous that he didn't like me, so I went outside to take care of the horses (we don't really have horses.) I found a lamb, and it was really cute. I don't remember how but it ended up dying and it was extremely tiny; I remember I thought it looked like a fetus. I looked over at my pet cow and it looked like it was twice as huge as before, so I told him something about needing a good education, and I fed the tiny dead lamb to it. It made really horrible crunching sounds, and all of a sudden I heard what sounded like a dragon roar. I turned and started running but I couldn't run fast enough (sort of like how the other day in my dream I just couldn't dial 911 fast enough. I hate those dreams.) So I went and walked into a door in a tree trunk and hid. I kept trying to walk up some stairs or shelves that were in the trunk, but I kept slipping, so I just gave up. And when I was trying to walk up, the dream looked like a videogame haha, I thought it was interesting that it would switch and look pixelated and stuff. When I thought it went away, I ran into the house and tried to tell my grandparents that a dragon or a monster was around here, but they didn't believe me. I don't remember the rest.
But my dreams are always really random and just.. make no sense. I've read books on dreams, articles, etc, but I can't figure out why my dreams are so chaotic.
I'm sorry about the length of that if you actually read through it, but I felt the need to include everything so that you can understand just how weird they are. And besides the baby lamb thing, that dream was actually relatively and comparatively normal.
2 AnswersDream Interpretation10 years agoShould I enlist in the Marine corps?
1. I'm a female, and many people are telling me that the people in the Marines are chauvinistic and rude at times solely based on gender.
2. They also say that I'm not physically fit enough for it, which I actually agree with at the moment, but I'm starting sports conditioning next week and that ought to get me into at least decent shape.
3. My step grandmother tells me that everyone thinks that Marines are idiots. (I'm really not sure about that one. I feel like she is making an unfair judgement since dating ONE marine.)
4. I'm worried about job options. I'm interested in aeronautical engineering, which is a euphemism for an airplane mechanic. Does anyone know about that?
Just in general, anyone with any Marine experience, please tell me information. I'm pretty scared and my original plan was to go straight to Navy upon graduation, but I get this gut feeling to go Marines. I'm desperate for information because I'm graduating this year, and time is running short. Military has been my dream for years now, and I don't want to make an ill-informed decision, or one that I'll regret. I also hear that the camaraderie is awesome and it makes it a great benefit. Oh yea, and I'm not scared of being deployed. Mainly because I know that women can't be in infantry, and also because I'm just not afraid. Maybe it's out of ignorance as to what being a Marine entails.
1 AnswerMilitary10 years agoHow many sets of sprints should I do every day?
Lacrosse conditioning starts next week, and we're doing Mondays and Wednesdays. I personally don't think that's enough to get into proper shape, though soon I know that they're going to raise the days to 3, then four, gradually until tryouts in spring. I want to practice on my own though. Should I do 6-8 sets of sprints, 30 seconds, then take a 30 second break? I've read that they are extremely efficient for fat burning, is this another internet myth? How would I transition into more difficult sprinting sessions? 8-10 sets , each lasting 60 seconds with a 30 second break? And how many days a week should I do this? And should I do 6-8 sets in the morning, then the same in the afternoon, or should I just stick to once a day? And should I add a regular jog in there and if so, should I do that before as a warm-up, after as a cool down, or both? That was like a billion questions, so thank you for your patience, whoever answers this.
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness10 years agoWill lacrosse conditioning help me lose weight?
Lacrosse conditioning starts soon, and I have never played lacrosse. Luckily this is the first year that there's a team at my school, so pretty much everyone will be novice. I'm not exactly fat but I'm far from lean, and I stopped working out when school started. Conditioning is twice a week, and all my coach told me was that she was going to prepare us for games where "we'd be running about 3 miles each." I can't even run 1 mile, let alone three, but conditioning like I said is only twice a week. So will this help me lose weight, since I keep my diet clean? And any suggestions for getting more in shape for the spring?
3 AnswersOther - Sports10 years agoIs there really a weight requirement to join a crew/rowing team?
I've been looking into rowing teams (I was considering joining one when I get to college, or maybe just one for fun or weight loss) and I just read on another answer that it requires women to be 130 lbs or lighter. I fluctuate between 138-141 mostly, so obviously I'd need to lose like 15 pounds before even trying out if this mandated. And is rowing really grueling or is it just the practices themselves that suck the life out of you?
3 AnswersWater Sports10 years agoWhich is more effective: the Insanity program or p90x?
I'm certain that it would depend on personal preference, but based off of results alone, which do you guys think is more effective? I've seen a bunch of infomercials for both and I've tried both, but also quit because I wasn't seeing results and got frustrated. (I think that might have been because of diet- I only eat a few pieces of fruit and a cheese stick every day. But I'm not even hungry.) Anyways, I have them both, I was just wondering what everyone else thought was more worthwhile.
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness10 years agoCan someone explain the movie bereavement to me?
List of things I don't understand:
-Significance of steer skull
-Random body that occasionally moved under the sheet (was that the psycho's dad?)
-Why the dude started going ham on everyone and killing them at the end. Really -__- I just don't get what warranted that.
-What was the cloaked steer thing
-I don't get why the dude was killing people in the first place. Cult? Cult of one I mean.
-What the little boy not being able to feel was about to the killer. Does he think he'll be able to kill someone easier because he has no physical reaction to pain? So maybe then he'd be emotionally detached?
-Did they ever explain why the ugly guy's mom killed herself? I think I zoned out at that part due to the fact that the movie was horrible
So I mean, I did not like this movie. At all. But I'm still curious to know all these things because it just doesn't seem to make much sense.
1 AnswerMovies10 years agoHow do you edit a theme for tumblr?
I've googled this extensively and it's all a bunch of stuff I don't know about. I used to mess around with myspace codes and simple things like that, but I've looked at the tumblr ones, and I just ended up messing a whole bunch of stuff up instead of making it better.... So basically, can someone tell me how to change the background colors, fonts, spacing, size of pictures, and anything else you've done or know about that makes blogs 'cool'
1 AnswerProgramming & Design10 years agoHow much work goes into the owning of a sugar glider?
I really want one (well I guess like 4 because they need company), but all of these websites I'm reading up on them about say the same thing, and offer virtually no real testimonials. And by the same thing, I mean generic, "It was hard work but I love my sugar glider."
