  • How to keep an outdoor rabbit warm?

Just looking for a few tips and hints to keep my bunnies warm throughout the winter. They've got a hutch each, packed with plenty hay/straw. They're fed twice a day. We've just bought hutch covers and bottle covers so that'll help lots but anything more tips would be very appreciated.

Taking them indoors is not an option for us and having them outdoors will do them no harm. I would like to make that clear now as I do not want to hear people telling me to take them inside.

    Thanks in advance x

  • What is the procedure for testing fish tank water?

Pets at home tested the water in our fish tank, it had been in the tank 3 days (their recommended time) and it had been treated with fish safe (makes tap water safe for fish) and with another lot which keeps the fish calm when they get in to the water.

They said that the ammonia level was ever so slightly too high, yet the test had been left for 30 minutes... Is that the correct amount of time to leave it? I thought it was a rather long time.

  • My wife is in hospital, what help do i get?

    Hi everyone,

My uncle's wife is in hospital with a brain tumor, they're in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Neither of them were working and they were on job seekers. But now they've been taken off job seekers because they're not in the town they were living in (Inverness).

My uncle is having to pay £30 per night in a B&B. He can't afford this, along with the having to pay expenses to get to and from the hospital daily (3+ miles).

Does anyone know if there's anything he can do to help his financial problems whilst he's in Aberdeen? We've all given him as much money as we can but we can't do it much longer and he really needs something more permanent.

    Any advise is appreciated!

    TIA xx

  • TTC & looking for tips!?

    Hey ladies & gents =)

Me & my hubby are trying for baby no2. Baby no1 - Pyper - all was good but i had a 6 bleeds during my pregnancy with no reasoning behind them, Pyper was born & after a few hours she was rushed to the special care baby unit as she had low birth weight (5lbs 3.5oz full term!), low body temp and hypoglycemia (low blood sugars).

So, that's my reasons for asking this question as i would like to try even harder than before to be healthy & fit to prepare for our next baby. I've already started taking Pregnacare tablets once per day with includes my daily dose of folic acid, but i would love to know any other hints or tips for ways to stay healthy that will improve my baby's health? =)

I don't smoke, do drugs or drink alcohol. Guess that helps!

    TIA

  • How to rent your house?

    Hi all.

I'm looking to find out how i would go about changing my mortgage to a 'buy-to-let', if anyone can help?

We're currently trying to sell our house but we've found that more people are looking to rent than to buy and this may be the better option for us. Depending, of course, on how we go about it!

Are there any charges incurred due to changing your mortgage? Will the mortgage cost still be the same?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    TIA, Amy xx

  • Do photographers need to be disclosed?

    Hey all.

I'm a photographer in my local area. I recently had a message from a lady who asked me if i was disclosed to work with children. From my research in the past i concluded that i did not need a disclosure done and it would only be if i went on to be a school photographer (or similar role) that i would need one.

I now worry that, even though i have looked online and there's nothing that says i need one, that i do in fact need one!

Does anyone know for sure whether i do or not??

Thanks for all your help in advance!

    Many thanks,

  • very hungry baby - 10 weeks to early for baby food?

My little girl is 10 weeks today. She is already on 8 oz bottles every 4 hours yet it doesn't seem enough for her. She gets very upset after around 2 hours.

She watches our every movements while we're eating and even opens her mouth as we lift the fork or spoon.

I don't see my health visitor for another 2 weeks as she is on holiday so thought i'd ask on here.

Is there any baby foods you gave to your baby early & do you think i can try it or just up her feeds, again?

  • 3 year old behaviour at nursery?

    Hiya all.

I have a 3 and half year old step son who's behaviour in the past has been terrible.

We've managed to control it at home but more recently he's been really acting up at nursery.

10 weeks ago i had my little girl and i know a lot of people will use this as a reason for his sudden change in behaviour but i really don't think it is. He is absolutly amazing with her, cuddles her, kisses her, feeds her, helps to change her and has never shown any signs of jealously.

He has in the past nipped a teacher at nursery but not very often. Yesterday he nipped a teacher and a child. Today his report was - nipping a teacher that hard that he's broken the skin and made her bleed, he nipped then pushed an child over because he wanted to play in the water pit, he was pushing the furniture over an screaming/shouting at the teachers. He only does all this when asked to do something or when he has to go have snack. He has also started wetting himself several times a week, he had previously been dry during the daya for around 7 months.

So my question is, how can i help to control his behaviour at nursery, is there anythign i can do from home or suggest to his teachers? Also, is there any reason why he is all of a sudden wetting himself again?

    Thanks in advance x
