My girlfriend's baby is almost 5 months old (he's not mine, but he has no father figure in his life really). I've never really had an experience with babies up until now, but I've gotten to the point where I'm pretty comfortable with him. The other morning he woke up early and I chilled with him until around 7 so his mother could get some sleep for once. Anyhow, alot of the time he'll grab onto my pinky with one hand and index finger with the other, and either go to put my finger in his mouth (I don't let him, should I if my hands are clean?), or he will also wrap his legs around my arm or push my hand around with his feet. What does that mean? Also alot of the time if he's crying I can get him to stop pretty quickly by rocking him or bouncing him a little. Is bouncing him alright? I just put him on my knee and lift my heel up off the ground, not too hard or fast or anything but I know shaking babies is bad so I don't want to overdo it. Also I don't hold him all the time cause I dont want him to expect being held all the time, I'l still pay attention to him but I'll just put him down on the bed.

Also, the other day when me and his mother came back from dinner (having left him with his great aunt/uncle) she picked him up, but once he saw me he started crying and reaching for me. Not really a question I just thought it was cute. :)

Yes, I'm going to a doctor, have an appointment before anyone says "go to a doctor!!!" Just looking for some insight.

I've had a dry/painful spot in my throat for about a week, finally looked back there with a light today and noticed some weird inflammation on my soft palate (sores not really in the throat, just right before it kinda near the tonsils), it's a bit red and you can see some veins and there's a white spot that looks kind of like a pimple or abscess. Anyone experience anything like this?

Do they look similar? He says no on the grounds that Aziz is ugly. Thoughts?
