I submitted the paperwork to my landlord to terminate my lease. As a victim of domestic violence, the law protects me in allowing me to terminate it to "get away" at any time.

Both mine and my husbands names are on the lease.

The apartment complex is trying to say I can get off the lease but they wont let him off. But by forcing him to stay on the contract...they are basically forcing me to as well considering we are married.

They dont have anything "legal" to back this up yet. They just told me today theyre going to try to make him stay on it. Is he legally let out of it too since we are married?

First off, I live in Washington State so please only respond if you particularly know about WA laws.

A few months ago my apartment complex started using an online pay system. The month of april it wouldnt register us correctly so we couldnt use it. The month of May was our first time using it, and we were hesitant after seeing how unreliable the system seemed to be from not working in April.

About four or five days ago, we got a call from the property manager telling us that our payment for May was reversed in the system, so it never went through. Mind you, it was not declined. There were more than enough funds to cover the rent of $954. Although it is now two months later, they are just now realizing that there was an error in the system, and the payment was reversed.

Here's the problem. The account we used to pay our rent is specifically meant for our rent and large purchases. We have a separate account which we use for spending on a daily basis. So generally, we dont check the balance because there is no need to. We have been putting extra money into that account to purchase plane tickets. A couple weeks ago we bought our plane tickets, not thinking much of it. Then we used our leftover money to purchase a few things for our upcoming trip.

Now we get this call telling us that some of that money we used was from our reversed rent TWO MONTHS AGO! We leave for vacation in two days and are being threatened with eviction and late fees and attorney fees, etc etc. So out of nowhere two months later, they are immediately demanding this rent that we no longer have the money for. Had they informed us immediately of what happened, we would have gladly sent in a check or money order considering their online system sucks. So even though they didnt even realize it until two months later, they want the money at the drop of a hat now.

Am I legally obligated to pay this? Or are they SOL for not catching their system error and informing us sooner?

My ex is a total pos Marine and he just left for afghanistan. Three days after leaving I find out hes been cheating on me. Now he is trying to turn the situation around so that the heat is off of him and he is saying he doesnt think Im pregnant. Which he could clearly see I was when he left. And he is saying he wants paperwork and documents proving it but I have been given nothing like that from the doctors and Im not really sure what I can get or who I can prove something to him that he already knows.

What is your take on the war and what do you do to show your support for the troops overseas? Do you have magnets on your vehicles, do you send care packages, anything else? If you do not do anything to show your support, why not? Even if you disagree with the war, do you show support for our troops?

I run a group called Project Care Package and we are trying to get feedback from the community on what the do, dont do, and would like to do for our troops.

I am a photographer looking to do a photoshoot to honor memorial day. There are no veteran cemeteries near me and I know they decorate all the graves with flags on memorial day. Do they do this for veterans in normal cemeteries too?

She lied to me about who she was, her whole family, everything. her real name is sydney hughes and is some black girl i don't even know, the amanda girl has been lying for her and set me up. I found out by sydney's mom calling me looking for her and she told me the truth how sydney would make a bunch of fake profiles and mess with guys and create this whole fake world. Amanda her friend went along with it and gave her victoms. I tried getting my ring back and supposedly sydney lost it. i wanted to know if there is any legal action i can take to get my ring back or anything in general.

Im going to North Carolina during spring break to check out colleges and tickets are super expensive even two months out. My god mom wants to let me use her frequent flyer miles but she doesnt know if she can. First of all, how long until they expire? Cause she thinks hers are probably expired by now. And Second, can she transfer them over to let a minor use them cause she said she doesnt think she can?

When I was young I saw a movie that I absolutely loved, unfortunately I cant remember the name of it or much of what it was even about.

I remember there were these people that went to a mansion and one of them is a woman that I believe lived there as a child and I think maybe she was an orphan or something. I wish my memory of it wasnt so vague! I think I remember it as a somewhat scary movie, weird things happen to the people there, But I dont know why they are there? Does this sound familiar to anyone?

*******It certainly is not the haunted mansion. I think It would be much older than that. I know that children in the house were burned or something, like in the fireplace. I know that was a significant part. It was sort of an evil place.

What would the story line be?

I have to create one and I want to do a story for it. Like the video for Rascal Flatts "What hurts the most". Id like to do something like that, but it doesnt have to be sad and there doesnt have to be dying lol

My best friend, who I happen to secretly be head over heels for, bought me a necklace for Christmas. It came as a huge shock to me. Im just curious if it means something. Or am I completely over thinking it? Would a guy buy a girl jewelry if he didnt like her like thattt?

My best friend's dog had chihuahua puppies eight weeks ago. The runt wasnt going to make it, but I wanted it badly so we did everything we could to keep it alive. The mother refused to feed or love it, so it has had a lot of human contact since it was born. They fed it out of a dropper several times a day. Sometimes I would go over and visit the puppy and feed it, and I finally took it home last night.

My problem is, she refuses to sleep in a crate or a box now. She did at my friend's house with the mother, even though it didnt like her. But last night she would only go to sleep if I let her fall asleep curled up on my neck or chest. I cant let her because she is so tiny (still looks like a 5 week old puppy) that i could crush her if i accidentally rolled over on her.

I dont know what to do because I cant let her howl through the night if i throw her in a crate because my mom and i are hiding her from my stepdad...

Any tips or tricks??
