  • I'm fat but when I diet I get obsessive. How to lose weight?

    I can't go on a "diet" because I start obsessing. Counting and tracking everything, counting bites, sorting and counting food, restricting calories, only eating things in threes, limiting what foods I can eat because I'm afraid they'll contaminate me. I've ranged from 120-180 lbs because I go in this pattern. I stop dieting because I can't do it right then gain a bunch of weight so I want to diet again. The lowest, 120, I was eating restrictivly. Counting, weighing, measuring. My ideal day is three meals of 300 calories each, but I know that's not enough. My ideal weight is 120 bur my goal weight is more like 140.
