  • Why are America's embarrassments not mentions in school?

The Boston Tea Party - in response to the LOWERING of taxes on tea

War of 1813 - Barely mentioned - Washington DC was razed.

US-Spanish War - journalists pushed the war through propaganda - the info shows that the USS Maine exploded because of a boiler - not a mine.

American-Phillipino War - The US used concentation camps on the Filipinos and executed them at will.

    Systematic Slaughter of the Indians

    Japanese Internment Camps

The fact that the US didnt help win WWI (the British blockade of Germany starved the pop- resulting in a revoltion - the new gov sued for peace)

Korea - not over - it WASNT won.

Losing Vietnam - the books mentioned that we withdrew - not lost outright.

Support for dictators in the Cold War (Hussain, Castro, others)

CIA training of Bin Laden, amonst others.

Are we really brainwashing our kids into thinking that the US has done no wrong? (Im not saying that any country is perfect, but we should at least teach our kids that mistakes have been made)

  • Is it wrong that Chris Farley wasnt credited in Shrek?

He recorded the entire movie before he died. The makers of the movie hired Mike Myers (who did a great job) so they woulnt have to recast for a sequel. In Chris Farley's filmography's, there is no mention of this work, aside from a random trivia mention.

  • Are there deleted scenes from Heat, with Val Kilmer?

I think I remember seeing a version a long time ago, that ended with Val Kilmer's character sitting on a plane as the last scene, but I have been unable to find this again.

Was this scene there, or is my memory adding a scene from another of his movies?

Maybe helping me with a list of movies that have him on a plane would help - so I can double check. (Note - dont bother with top gun, batman, and the saint - those have already been eliminated)

  • I need to paint over outside brick to cover graffiti, anything a first time painter should know?

I have exterior paint with a deep base. I just need to know if I can just start painting or if there is anything else I need to do. I have only painted walls on the inside of a house before.

This is for my job, my boss has bought the paint already and has asked me to do it.

    Thank you for any help.
