  • Neosporin by/in penis?

I had a little cut and irritation by the front of my penis. I put neosporin on that whole area and some of it got on my pee hole and probably went inside a little bit. I didn't shove it in or anything, but just put neosporin on that area and rub it in.

Could anything bad happen with a little bit of the neosporin getting in the opening of my pee hole? It's for preventing infections so it should cause any problems in that regard right?

And it looked like there was irritation just inside my pee hole. Will that just go away? Will the neosporin help?

  • Help me decide how I should propose?

I don't want to do anything super public but I want it to be out and about somewhere. I don't want to put it in food or anything like that.

If possible, I'd like to somehow incorporate a song that has significance to us (You are the Best Thing by Ray Lamontagne). I've also thought about doing it either at the restaurant where we had our first date or the place where I first realized I was going to marry her (it was early in the relationship and when I told her later on that this was the place and time that I realized it she was super surprised and really happy to hear it).

I'll be proposing to her in Washington DC so that leaves open a lot of options as well.

I don't want to do anything too sappy or too showy. My "style" is more like something you'd see in a movie like Garden State, 500 Days of Summer, or something from The Office. We joked that I'd just get her a twisty tie from a loaf of bread for a ring so that might be something funny that I could incorporate as well. No worries, I did buy a real (and quite nice) ring.

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm doing this in a couple weeks so I need to figure it out soon, especially if it needs any kind of preparation. Thanks!

  • Can anyone help me discover some good pieces similar to these...?

So, I'm trying to find some more classical music that I'll really like and I thought I'd list a few pieces that I've been listening to often and those of you who know more can lead me to other composers and pieces in a similar vein.

Gayane, ballet in 4 acts~Adagio (Used in 2001: A Space Odyssey)

    Stravinsky's Rite of Spring

Schubert Sonata in A Major 959 Andantino

I realize that they are all pretty different so anything similiar to either 3 would be awesome. Thanks.

  • Question on mono?

I was very sick for about a week with mono and since then have slowly gotten better. It has been about a month since the first, intense symptoms came on.

While I am going to class and work pretty much just fine I am still very tired and often feel somewhat sick for a few hours everyday or every other day. It seems to be generally getting better, but is it normal to still be experiencing this a month later?

Can the fatigue and times of feeling just generally sick last a month out from the mono? How much longer can these things last?

  • Hah... One more question on mono. Thank you for your answers.?

So I had a fever and felt very bad for about a week and the fever and most of the symptoms have since left about a week and a half ago.

Im not sure if I had/have mono, but I still feel tired, just generally sick/naseous at times and sometimes have nightsweats and the chills.

My body temperature seems to change alot also. I seem to be very cold one minute (almost shaking to warm up) and then I'll feel hot the next.

I also had a healthy hunger during the worst part of my sickness. I ate alot. Recently however I have lost some of the appetite and somedays I just dont feel like eating.

Does any of this sound like stuff that usually happens as mono is leaving your system or does it sound like something different?

  • Another question on mono?

My fever with whatever illness I had left about a week and a half ago and since I have just felt very tired.

I still get some nightsweats, general sick feeling, chills, and at times feel very cold and then feel very hot.

Is this normal with mono especially as its leaving your system or are these symptoms of something worse?

  • Another question about mono?

So I had a bad fever and everything you'd associate with mono about two weeks ago. My fever and everything eventually went away and I felt better, but I haven't felt completely better.

A little after the fevers went away I got a sore throat and swollen tonsils and they put me on some antibiotics.

For the moment I seem to be feeling much better but still not even close to 100%. From time to time I just feel pretty sick (usually no big fever....maybe a small one) and at other times I feel better. I sometimes get cold sweats and the chills along with a low body temperature. I am just generally tired and dont feel great.... still kind of sick sometimes.

Does this happen as the mono leaves you? Do you still get nightsweats and chills even after your fever is gone?

Or should I be worried about something worse like lymphoma, leukemia, HIV etc....

Does the fever persist in those problems?

I guess Im just worried about still having night sweats, chills, fatigue

  • Mono? Flu? Something more serious?

    Hello

About two or three weeks ago I began to feel really sick with a fever that went up and down, night sweats, fatigue, eyeball pain, sinus pressure and pain etc.

After about a week-week and a half the fever started to subside and I started to feel better. My head still hurt but some antibiotics seemed to clear up what was maybe a sinus infection. My tonsils looked real bad at the begining of the getting sick and those eventually began to hurt also. Antibiotics also seemed to take this away.

I still have a little bit of a sore throat, sometimes get night sweats and wake up very cold with a low temperature. I also feel pretty fatigued and just generally not amazing. I definitely feel better than I had a week or two ago, but I still dont feel back to 100%.

Does this sound like mono? The odd thing is that I never had a cough with this. Does that make it sound like something worse? Would I be feeling worse with a higher fever if it was something more serious?

  • Ruptured Spleen?

I think that I may have mono and at times I feel a slight pain in the area where my spleen might be.

To be honest Im pretty sure it is in my head, but can you rupture your spleen when you have mono with the simple activity that you do around the house? I mean can getting up and walking around or moving your stomach in the wrong way rupture or lacerate your spleen?

Basically I just want to make sure i didnt rupture it. Would I be even questioning this if I did rupture or lacerate my spleen? Or would I be able to tell right away as soon as I did it from terrible pain and suddenly feeling very ill?

  • Antibiotic question?

I am currently on CLINDAMYCIN for tonsillitis/sore throat.

They told me that because this antibiotic can cause the serious colon infection called Pseudomembranous colitis that I should stop taking the medicine if I start having diarrhea.

I have started to have a mild diarrhea, but it doesnt appear to be the severe kind that is present with Pseudomembranous colitis. I also dont have the stomach cramps.

How likely is it that I have Pseudomembranous colitis?

Also I have stopped taking the antibiotics at least until morning so I can call the doctor. Will they take me off this antibiotic?

Does missing several doses of the antibiotic (two to be exact) mean that if I continue it that it wont work because the infection has become resistant over the time that I didnt take it?

  • Question about Mono?

I have felt crappy and monoish for about 3 weeks now. I had white patches and somewhat swollen tonsils the entire time, but they did not hurt. About 5-6 days ago I started feeling better (thuogh still kind of sick and pretty fatigued) but my throat began to just kill and get even more red and swollen.

Is it normal with mono to have a sore throat come on so much later after all your other symptoms or do you suppose this is something isolated from mono and is perhaps bacterial (antibodies dont seem to be helping so far)?

  • Mono or a sinister strep/tonsillitis?

So about three weeks ago I started feeling pretty crappy. I got a fever (which would go up and down) and had body aches, sinus pain, eyeball pain, and just generally felt crappy. I didnt have a cough or sore throat however.

Well my tonsils were swollen and had white patches on them and so everytime I went to the doc they seemed to think I maybe had strep or tonsillitis even though my throat didnt hurt.

During the course of my second antibiotic my throat began to kill. I went to an ENT who gave me another course of antibiotics which as of now (im about 48 hours in) has not relieved any of the pain. Its gotten worse actually.

Do I really have that nasty of a strain of bacteria that it wont respond to antibiotics or does it sound like a viral sore throat from mono? No one ever swabbed my throat even though Ive been on 3 courses of antibiotics (my throat started to hurt during the second) and no one tested for mono?

What do you think? Should I go in for a mono test?

  • Antibiotics not taking care of sore throat?

My throat became very sore during a course of antibiotics (which were actually supposed to reduce the swollenness of my tonsils even though they didnt hurt).

I went back to the doctor and received a third type of antibiotic, but as of about 48 hours into it my throat is not feeling any better.... in fact probably worse.

How long should I wait and continue with the antibiotic before I call the doctor and tell him that its not working? Shouldnt you usually start feeling better within a day or two?

What will they do with me if these antibiotics dont work? Will they take the tonsils out right away? Dont they like to wait until the infection is gone before taking them out?

Also no one ever swabbed me during this entire thing. Is it possible that my sore throat and swollen tonsils is a viral thing and it just needs to run its course?

If it is bacterial does this mean that its a resistant strain and does that mean Im in pretty bad shape?
