I'd like to pull a bunch of .pdf's off of a site. Besides typing manually, how would I get them all?
There's a website that has a .pdf with a pass with my name on it to an advanced screening. Problem is, it came up as a pop-up when I won it, and the site claims it won't let me re-print it as I already have! The pop-up blocker killed it, and I can't get it from my history as it never appeared.
However, I found a directory in the website that has all the .pdf's of the people who have won, starting with 00.pdf, and randomly up to over 999. For example, there might be a 514.pdf, 515.pdf, 519.pdf, 531.pdf and so on, it skips numbers. I manually went up to 999.pdf and haven't found my name yet, and typing in a few random four digit numbers I found 4165.pdf!
I've been saving every .pdf I have, and only have 165 so far and haven't found my name. The website keeps saying congratulations on winning, but we cannot provide you with more vouchers-this is crazy, I just want to reprint!
So, any idea on how to yank all these .pdf's off the site to find mine?
1 AnswerOther - Internet1 decade agoComplex fraction, needs simplifying?
These always seem to dig into my skull!
(2/x) + (1/x-2) / (1/x-2) + (3/x)
I've been going for 3 hours straight, and this is one of a handful I had to skip.
I appreciate any help!
1 AnswerHomework Help1 decade agoOffice removes rent "drop box", forces use of online payment-what recourse do I have?
I live in Chandler, AZ, in a condo community that also rents out. It's more of a "classy" apartment complex, but I digress.
I've lived here for two years with no issue, until the property came under new management. They toted the online rent payment system as the "way to pay", but unless you set up a recurring account that automatically paid on the 1st, you had to pay a $50 fee. So, paying online is $50 more, no big deal to me.
Then we tenants receive the monthly flyer stating that as of Aug 1, the rent drop box would be removed. Their way of "going green". So unless I have my rent in by 5:30PM on the 1st, I'll be hit with $50 in late fees. (plus another $20 in "misc", it happened to me once).
So it seems, one way or another, this is an obtuse way of raising our rents by $50. It used to be so long as the rent was in the drop box after hours, they couldn't assess late fees.
Along with a slew of other small issues I've pushed off and pushed off, this is it for me. I can't pay by 5:30 PM on the 1st, which would mean leaving work early (if I can), and I can't afford paying an extra $50 just because they like charging $50 for the sake of charging it for paying online.
What recourse do I have? I can't afford to "lawyer up", and I've left a couple (polite) messages asking to discuss this.

OK, this is on behalf of my wife so here goes:
"Where in this code am I wrong? I enter my friend ID where the XXXX's belong and the response to clicking on the link says "Invalid friend ID or deleted account"
I've also tried replacing the XXXX's and the word friend id still doesn't work

1 AnswerMySpace1 decade agoWhat other pain management avenues can I look at besides Vicodin?
I've looked but cannot find information to back up my doctor's assertion that Salsalate (500mg) will not just augment any pain medications like Hydrocodone, but over time, will eliminate the need for it.
For four years, and in increasing amounts, my doctor had prescribed me Hydrocodone 5/500mg to treat post-surgical pain in both my right knee (ACL repair) as well as my left wrist (a proximal row carpectomy). At one point, I was taking 8 of the 5/500 Hydrocodones per day and tolerance, as well as just plain frustration, has me looking at other avenues of pain management.
As I'm dealing with the Veteran's Affairs now, what can I do to lessen my need for the "hard" medications, and allievate my constant high level of pain? I'm tired of being pain!
As a note, I've been very good about keeping my Endocrinology appointments, and thus so far, my liver functions as well as my TSH and T3/T4 levels are good, albeit on the low side. This, too, is another reason why I'm looking at alternatives
5 AnswersPain & Pain Management1 decade agoWord problems, pumps and triangles ahoy!?
OK, last two questions I'll ask (promise) I made it through over 50 on my own, had to ask about 2 already, so I hope I'm still in the good :]
A) The large pump takes 6 hours to empty the tank. The small pump takes 17 hours to empty the same tank. How long would it take if they work together?
B) A right triangle has a hypotenuse that is 4.2 feet longer than one leg, and 7.5 feet longer than the other. What are the lengths of the three sides of the triangle?
I'm sorry to put this up to ask, I'm completely burned out right now. Apartment across the way caught fire, the entire condo area is flooded, there's fire trucks all over, so I'm just throwing in the towel on this today.
Thanks in advance! :]
2 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoThe simple questions always get me?
The area of a rectangle is 7.44 square feet. The length is 0.7 ft longer than the width. What are the dimensions of the rectangle?
OK, I set up the equation so that I was solving for a triangle, and got the length = 24.2 feet and width = 24.9 feet.
This doesn't work, and I know it's wrong. Maybe I shouldn't have taken Math this quarter...well, at least not online as I can't seem to learn the way I would in a classroom.
Thanks again :]
3 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoObject thrown upwards question?
This is driving me crazy, and my teacher isn't giving much help on this. It simply doesn't make any sense.
"An object is thrown upward at a rate of 50 ft/sec from a platform 100 ft. high. When will it hit the ground?"
I've argued that I cannot solve this question without knowing what the mass of the object in question is. I don't even know why she's insisting on this, as the book doesn't even cover anything remotely similar that I could compare it to.
Even so, I cannot calculate when the object is going to hit, even if I plugged in some arbitrary mass for the object to figure the velocity it would obtain and time to impact, the answer I'd get would be all over the place!
Or, is this one of those "answer the question with an equation" type of problems?
Thank you for your time :]
2 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoA diagonal measurement of a retangular area leaves you with two non-numbers?
When you measured a diagonal clothesline across a rectangular porch, you found that it was 1 foot longer than the length of the porch, and 8 ft longer than the width.
What are the dimensions of the porch?
I've used "l" for length, "w" for width, and "b" for the diagonal line and drew up the right triangle. I've worked this to this point:
b^2=(w^2+64) + (l^2+1)
yet every time I try to get numbers out of this I fail.
For example, I'm stopped at l^2=16w+64
I'm all over the place on this. Have I skipped something important? I'm drawing a complete blank now and my head hurts :(
3 AnswersHomework Help1 decade agoFinding the length of a rectangle when given a polynomial and width?
A rectangle has an area of X^3 – 6X^2 + 15X – 28 square feet. Its width is X – 4 feet. What is its length?
I've tried substituting x-4 and end up with x^3-18x^2+111x-248, but something about it doesn't seem to match. A rectangle's length can't be that convoluted!
Granted, this is my first homework since graduating high school 10 years ago but I cannot seem to get the gears going.
Thank you in advance for your help!
