  • Recordable DVD versus Digital Formats?

    We are considering purchasing a camcorder for Christmas but not sure what the advantages are of a DVD-R format verus the digital formats out now? We know for sure we don't want tapes (do they even make those anymore) but we are thinking the DVD-R might be nice for storage and also making copies to give to family members.

    If you'd had experience with either (or both) formats, which would you recommend and why?

  • I can't select a new Yahoo IM Display Image, not even the samples. Is there a way an image might be "stuck?"

    I'm using v7.0 and can't upgrade to 8.1 since this is a work PC. I had an image displayed for a long time and want to change it but when I select the new image, everything appears to be working but then the old image returns as if it's a "default." I changed it through Preferences, I've tried deleting the old image and reloading the new image. I've tried selecting a sample image and that won't show either. Since I deleted the old image, no image will show (it's just blank) no matter what I select. The image I want is saved both as .jpg and .gif and neither version work.
