1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoCan anyone suggest a good guard dog for me?
This past year I moved into the city with a very small back yard 20 x 20. I have had a Weimaraner for five years but I am going to have to give her away because there is just not enough room for her in our back yard. Also I like to garden and have flowers and plants and there is just not enough space for a large dog. I want a good guard dog that will be able to live comfortable in the space and also a dog that is good around plants (not big diggers). Any suggestions of a breed of dog or a solution?
7 AnswersDogs9 years agoDisabled mother needs divorce..?
I have a question about divorce on behalf of my mother. We live in the state of Mississippi. My mother is 53 years old and disabled and temporarily in a wheel chair due to a surgery she had just a few weeks ago. Her husband and her have been married for 7 years. They live on 15 acres of land, which is in his name, but the trailer is in my mother’s name. Her husband does not work and is extremely verbally abusive to her. He will not help her out and is always talking about how he can commit suicide and also kill her as well by giving her too many blood pressure pills. He has even threatened to kill my sister in law and the cops where called. Last week while I was with my mother and we were having a bible study he came out and told me the same thing. That he was going to blow my brains away. I am 100% sure that this man has mental problems and I am scared for my mothers well being. She is the most loving, caring woman and does not deserve this type of treatment. The problem is he will not leave because he tells her that it is her duty to pay his way, and since the land is in his name she cannot make him leave. Does anyone know of where I can call or what I can do. We do not have much money for a lawyer and I don’t know what to do.

8 AnswersMarriage & Divorce9 years agoIs there a change in requirements to enter Mexico?
I was checking out the INM site to check for travel warning and I happened to notice that under the list of countries in which people do not have to have a visa to travel as tourist to Mexico that the United States has been removed from that list. Then it said all other countries contact your nearest consulate. Has there been some sort of change that I am not aware of or can I still get my travel visa at the border?

2 AnswersFinancial Aid10 years agoHow can I mix and match these Mexican platters?
I have been visiting with relatives for a few weeks now and before I go back home to Mexico I want to treat them to some authentic Mexican cooking. My problem is that I would love to cook them everything! but that is not possible. I meal has to be 3 courses. I was thinking along the lines of starting off with a Quesadilla appetizer platter with roast salsa, then for main meal I want it to be based around a stuffed chayote, (????????) and for dessert a friend apple quesadilla with vanilla ice cream. My best dish is chili rellenos with a side of cactus, but the chayote, chili relleno and cactus is a green based meal and I do not know if the flavors will blend well. The stuffed chayote is a must, but can you help me figure out what to go with them?
1 AnswerEthnic Cuisine1 decade agoWhat is your opinion on the 14th amendment to the Constitution being changed?
This week before legislation 14 states will go forth to say and back a law saying that if a child is born in the United States but his parents are not legal citizens then the child is not an American either. What is your thoughts on this? In my opinion if that were the case then in one way or the other NONE of us would be Americans, other than the American Indians due to the fact this country was built off of Pilgrims whom had no papers nor rights to be here. I am not condoning illegal immigrants in the USA but once a person is born here that is there right to be treated as such. EX: What is going to happen if a child is born here and kept secret for 14 years, then is found and is deported to a country that he/she has never been too and is an alien in their own sight? A child can not be punished for their parents mistakes, or can they?
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoSmall garden ideas please..?
My husband and I just bought our first home together in Monterrey Mexico. The back yard is extremely small, 20ft x 19ft. We want this small area to be a retreat for us, and an area for grilling and small parties. At the same time we would like a few flowers, maybe even a small shrub or tree. However we are not for sure if we can fit all of that into this yard, is it possible and any ideas on what we can do. Oh and the queen of my yard is my Weimaraner (large dog), so everything that goes in this yard will be access by her. Can it be done, and any ideas?

I love cornbread but I live in Mexico and I can not find corn meal in stores like we have here in America. I already know how to grind corn for tortillas, but I know the method is different for corn meal. Any help will be appreciated.

2 AnswersOther - United States1 decade agoLooking for names for adopted baby?
My husband and I are beginning to adopt a child. My husband is Mexican and I am American. We are adopting in Mexico so I want my child to have a name that represents both cultures.
So far we can only agree on these names.
For Girls we agree on
Isabella
Miranda
Marianna
and for boys we have no clue!!
Also we can not decide if we should give the baby a middle name like in America or two last names like in Mexico.
Thanks for any suggestions. We agree pretty much on everything else and are prepared to bring home our child. Right now we do not know if it is a boy or a girl. We have four more months to go and the name is the last big decisions we have to make. Thanks so much again!

4 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoShould I leave him, or should I forget the past and continue on with out marriage?
My husband and I have been married for four years. I am not for sure how I feel about our relationship anymore. I am a Christian and I do not really believe in lawful divorce but religious divorce I do. I am going to try to make this short as possible. The first year of marriage was great for me, but then on our first wedding anniversary my husband beat me. He was a major alcoholic and would become very violent all them time. I stayed with him anyways. About two years later he decided to get help after a night completely got out of hand where he ended up and jail and me in the hospital. So for another year things were perfect, and my husband respected me truly. Last year my husband dedicated his life to God and became a father to the church that is how much he truly changed. In order to do that he had to confess all sins to me. He confessed to cheating on me once. I have stayed with him a year later, but I am not for sure if I still love him. As a Christian lady, what should I do?
14 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoLiving apart is tearing us apart, is it over?
My husband and I have been married for four years now. We were together a year before we married, and were married only a few days after my 17th birthday. I am an American citizen and my husband is a Mexican citizen. Up until about a year ago we both lived together, but then my husband went back to Mexico to be with his family. At first I went with him but after 6 months I came back to the US to work for a little while. I was only suppose to be here four months which has turned into seven months. Now that I am back in the US this is my first time living on my own and I am able to be independent. I respect him more than anything in this world but I love my life here in the US but I love him too. For the first time I am back in school, and I have an amazing job. I know he is more important to me than the school or work but I feel so proud of myself now. My husband is ready for me to be back home in Mexico now! What can I do, drop out of school quit my job or maybe lose my husband forever
