Finishing contraceptive pill 3 days early...?
So I did this to start my period earlier but what will happen if I start taking my new pack 3 days earlier than usual, so I basically would have still only had a 7 day break from when I took my last pill?
Will I be protected from pregnancy if I go about it this way?
3 AnswersWomen's Health9 years ago2 missed pills, what to do?
So i've been on the pill for almost a year now and I lost a pack which luckily only had the last 2 pills of the month. But I replaced those pills with 2 from another pack, so i'm now short of 2 contraceptive pills.
I'm currently on the 7 days break but I was wondering if it would be better to miss the first 2 days of taking the pill again (so have a 9 day break instead of a 7 day break) or to just carry on taking the pill and finish the next pack 2 days earlier than usual. Or possibly even just miss 2 odd pills here and there during the next pack.
I'd rather not have any breakthrough bleeding or anything like that...
Suggestions with the best thing to do will be appreciated...
1 AnswerWomen's Health9 years agoMortgage and wages question?
Realistically, at this current time (say from around this year to maybe 2 or 3 years down the line) what is the minimum wage you'll probably need to be earning per year to be able to afford to pay off a mortgage (on let's say a 2 bedroom flat or 2 bed small house in West London, just something for a first time buyer)?
I don't really know too much about mortgages but a family member of mine insists that the only way to get a mortgage in future is (to go to university) and get a good job earning over £50,000 per year to be able to get one.
I'm not too sure if that sounds correct to me, because most people I know earn less than that but are still paying off/have a mortgage. But this person won't stand corrected on earning over at least £50,000.
So if anyone can clear this up for me it would be great help!
4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate9 years agoDon't know to continue with school?
I was wondering what my options would be if I don’t continue with my 2nd year of 6th form. I don’t intend to go to university but would like to do an apprenticeship. I just wanted to know what my other options are aside from an apprenticeship are, as I like to have a backup plan. I don’t particularly want to get stuck in a dead end job either.
I completed my 1st year of A-levels but didn’t get the grades I was expected to get. The grades I got were actually quite bad (I got a C, D and an E).I don’t know if there is much point doing the 2nd year if I don’t plan to go to university. To be completely honest with you, I don’t have much motivation to continue with A-Levels and absolutely despised every minute of doing them. I really did try my hardest and still didn’t get good grades, which put me off the A-Levels further. I even got a tutor (who did really help a lot) but still got a grade E.
I did get decent GCSE grades (8A’s, 2B’s) but I don’t know how far GCSE alone will get me in life. I mean, even if I did continue with the 2nd year of 6th form, to better the grades I already have at A Levels I’ll probably need to get A’s and A*s to achieve at least decent grades that will compliment my GCSE grades.
I really would like start earning some money, but it seems like all the jobs I have applied for I’ve been rejected from. Over the past 6 weeks I’ve applied for around 30+ jobs.
I was thinking to maybe do an apprenticeship as you are guaranteed to get a job once you actually get onto the course but I was wondering what my other options would be if I don’t continue with my 2nd year of 6th form, aside from an apprenticeship.
Please help! Connexions aren’t really useful. I’m sure you inventive people on Yahoo Answers can give me better advice than them!
1 AnswerOther - Education9 years agoDark circles go away after crying?
It's really weird. I've always had inherited dark circles and nothing seems to work to get rid of them (drinking plenty water, early nights, cucumbers around the eyes, the list can go on). I've been to the doctors and they only told me to moisturize the area, which of course doesn't work.
However I've noticed that when i've been crying before I go to sleep (crying quite a lot), the following morning my dark circles are dramatically reduced, especially around corners of my eyes.
Does anybody know why this could be? Some kind of allergy which goes away due to the contents of whatever is in my tears (lol) ? Any thoughts/information about this weird situation?
Any advice would be really helpful.
3 AnswersOther - Skin & Body9 years agoDark circles appear reduced if I cry?
My dark circles just won't go away no matter how much sleep I get, how much water I drink etc. I've had them for pretty much all my life (I think they are inherited). I've tried pretty much everything to get rid of them - cucumbers, cold teabags, ice (which made it worse)...
I have been to the doctors but all they said was that I should moisturize the area which doesn't help at all!
But I've noticed that if I have been crying just before I go to sleep the darkness seems to be reduced by quite a lot the next morning when I wake up. Is there any explanation for why this might be as apparently crying usually makes dark circles worse? Could I have an allergy in which crying clears up? And what else I can do to get rid of the dark circles (aside from crying before bed) ?
I obviously would love for my dark circles to go away but I cannot cry every night before I sleep ! (LOL)
Any help/advice/would be helpful!
1 AnswerOther - Skin & Body9 years agoDreams about a friend who moved away?
Okay in April, my friend moved country. She was one of my closest friends and has been since 2008. I still communicate with her through blackberry messenger frequently.
Over the past week I've had two dreams about her coming back to visit this country (and her stay duration seems to always be for two weeks) and I previously had a dream a month or two ago about pretty much the same thing. I always tend to wake up crying after these dreams as well.
I understand it's probably because I miss her but is there any deeper meaning to this dream ?

4 AnswersR&B & Soul1 decade agoTeenage sleep question?
I keep reading everywhere that teenagers are supposed to get around 9 hours sleep.
But i find that impossible because i seem to only be able to get 8 and a half hours maximum, no matter what time i go to bed i'll always wake up 8.5 hours later...
I would really love to get 9 hours sleep as i find i always look tired, with dark circles under my eyes =\
Is there any way that i can increase the amount of sleep i get?

2 AnswersOther - Skin & Body1 decade agoWhat would you do? Opinions?
Say for instance you went out with somebody in your early teens and you really liked them and you genuinely did like them. And you went out with this person for almost a year. But when it came to holidays (or any time where you wouldn't have to see each other every day) you would try to make the effort to talk to them by text or calling them but they wouldn't reply or they just never answered, leaving you feeling rejected.
Now say you had the intention of dumping them cos of this, so you had a little thing with someone else but didn't dump them til a few months after this incident (plus things went a little bit pear shaped anyways)
Then you broke up with that person and went back out with them almost a year later, is there any point in confessing to them what you did in the past relationship..?
Because you've learnt from your mistakes and know not to do it again, even though you still may have a guilty conscience that you did that before and really care for them?
Opinions please?
6 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agooval/square head shape question?
this is actually quite weird to be honest, but is anyone's head shape sort of square/oval at the same time, for instance wide jaw but an oval type of chin.
or say you look at it from one angle (like straight on) and it looks square and then from another (the side for example) it's oval?
(its hard to explain lol)
if so any pictures would be great too :)
thanks
2 AnswersOther - Skin & Body1 decade agoteeth grinding in teens?
okay, i grind my teeth at night and i'm in my teens (15). apparently i've been grinding my teeth from quite a young age. my jaw has changed shape slightly, its kind of a more square shape (used to be pretty oval on the jaw) and i think its down to the teeth grinding.
i got a gum shield today and was wondering if there is any chance my jaw might go back to how it was before (as i read somewhere that your head gets more oval as you go through puberty)
please help :)
thank youu
1 AnswerDental1 decade agoteeth grinding at night?
