I teach 7th grade math and regularly go help my cousin who is in 6th grade advanced math because he is learning the same thing I am teaching. His friend was in regular math and has just been moved down to Basic math (below regular math, maybe Sp.Ed). The friend is struggling and his parents would like to hire me to tutor him, but I do not know what to ask. Any suggestions for what I should charge????

This is my second year teaching, but I am new on my campus. I teach 7th grade math, and my principal was a math teacher. I will be teaching proportions (solving proportions), and I really need a great idea to make sure my students are engaged. I will introduce identifying and writing proportions beforehand. I have a 90 minute block, and my principal will be there for the first half of my block. I will be shortening my warm-up so that it will take about 10 minutes rather than the 15-20 we normally take. From there, I do not know . . .

I am a first year teacher and I just saw my classroom for the first time today. Unfortunately, my excitement faded when I found that I was given a science lab to teach math in. In the front of the room is a very large demonstration table and eye wash station, both of which are immoveable. I have a dry erase board to use, but it is behind the table, putting the students at least 10-15 feet away. There is no way to move the dry erase board sonce the side walls are lined with cabinets, and the back wall has a door opening leading to the room next door. Does anyone have suggestions to help me?

I keep having trim pieces fall off in my car. The trim around the sunroof button keeps falling off, as well as cover on the back of my tail lights inside the trunk. The flap at the opening of the gas tank has disappeared, and the fabric on the driver's seat has disconnected. They say the fabric juct needs to be clipped back on as there is a metal hook on the end. This is really annoying that this is all happening to me, and very inconvenient to have repaired since they will not give me a loaner car until after my car has been in the shop for over 24 hours!
