I have one of the "soccer ball" imacs, the one with the round base and the gooseneck monitor-- the G4. I've upgraded as far as I can go (10.3.9) and it's starting to get frustrating because I'm running into more things that require a newer version of flash players but those newer versions require at least 10.4 to download. I know that 10.5 is already available (and 10.6 on the horizon) but I also know that my present computer won't be able to upgrade farther than 10.4. I know I should go ahead and invest in a new one but here's the thing: I love the way this computer looks. From the moment I saw one, I knew I wanted it-- it just looked so fun!

So... if I go ahead and upgrade to 10.4, will that last me another 12-18 months before I have to bite the bullet and (sob!) abandon my soccer ball, or will it last less than a year? I realize this is best guess, but I'm trying to get a feel for how quickly apps are changing.

I have been to five stores and no one has it. I especially liked the six pack plastic bottles.

My camera is a Sony Cyber-shot. I'm not especially tech savy.
