I am a toxicologist who specializes in trace elemental analysis, environmental toxicology, exposure toxicology as well as medicinal toxicology including drug compounds. My research focus has been studying the effects of certain dietary and non-dietary elemental content in humans and the relationships between these levels and certain metabolic and psychological disorders. Oh and just because everyone seems to assume I am a guy (I am guessing based on my skull and crossbones pic, which is the logo for the Society of Forensic Toxicologists, to which I belong), I am a female, who aside from toxicology, science and medicine, loves nature, riding my mountain bike, hanging out with friends, family and my Pug Oliver as well as occasionally vegging out on the couch in front of the TV.
