Best way to share videos via my own website and server?
I have some videos that are too big and too long for sites such as youtube. If google still allowed hosting, I'd continue to use them, but with their (recent) decision to no longer accept video uploads I have decided that the videos that do not meet youtube's guidelines can just be hosted on my own site (I have a lot of server space and unlimited bandwidth so those will not be issues).
I have looked into how to embed wmv (which is what the file types are after compressing them some to take the original 2+gb files down to an more acceptable online DL/buffer size) in HTML and it's seeming tiresome and I cannot find a definitive answer how to do so easily (and what I have tried has failed me).
Is there another file format that is still small that i can convert the files to that will be easier to embed, and what HTML code will I need to embed them?
Thanks
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoWhat is the video resolution on the Sony MiniDV HC52?
I'm trying to decide between two cameras, the Samsung DC103 and the Sony MiniDV Handycam HC52.
Does anyone know the video resolution on the Sony HC52?
I see that the video resolution on the Samsung says it is 720x480.
B/C the samsung seems to have such a low Resolution (which is basically the WS version of what i have on my digital camera) I believe that will be the deciding factor in my purchase.
If you have any other camera selections with higher resolution in the $200-250 price range those would be appreciated as well.
1 AnswerCamcorders1 decade agoSuggestions / Tips for Phoenix Film Festival?
I will be traveling out to Phoenix next week (staying in Sun City) for the Phoenix Film Festival. It is only my 3rd time out in Phx (my 1st where I'll be treking out on my own). It is also my first time attending a film festival. Any tips for attending? How close are the screening theaters to each other? Is the area where it is held easy to navigate?
The festival site is http://phoenixfilmfestival.com/
