  • Are wind turbines causing rain and colder weather in the UK.?

Based on the simple physics law that you do not get something for nothing isn't it entirely possible that these useless pieces of junk, by reducing the downstream air pressure are having a cooling and condensation effect on the atmosphere, resulting in more rain and cold weather.

  • Shouldn't people on minimum wage ask themselves why they are worth so little?

People on minimum wage are always complaining but surely they need to ask themselves why it is they cannot make themselves worthy of higher pay.

  • Did anyone vote for secret trials and snooping on private messages?

The government and our so - called security agencies are a far greater threat to liberty and freedom in the UK than any terrorist threat.

More and more this country resembles a Stalinist state.

  • What is the point of the Leveson Inquiry?

Millions of pounds are being spent on this waste of time, it's occupying the time of police officers who would be better employed investigating serious crime.

Meanwhile the government is proposing to hack everybody under the guise of anti terrorism.

Franky I'm more worried by our government's antics in restricting freedoms than I am of any terrorist threat.

  • Can you just imagine if bankers were wartime army generals?

Here we are with the UK up to our eyes in debt thanks to our useless, overrated bankers and they still demand bonuses in return for their so called skill and knowledge.

Just imagine these creeps in time of war where our country's security was seriously at risk, these bastards would still be demanding more and more money or they would switch sides, now that would be treason so what's the difference.

Meanwhile our military put themselves in serious harm's way to protect us and these banker slugs and they do so for a pittance.

  • How can anyone seriously consider that people on benefits should be better off than those in work?

I am seriously sick and tired of the weeping and wailing that accompanies the governments plans to put a limit on benefits.

It is simply ridiculous that someone out of work can claim more in benefits than people who earn the national average wage of £26,000. Where do these lazy idle good for nothings think this money comes from?

Not only is the cap too high, there should be a lifetime limit for the total period that anyone can claim benefits. The exception being those people who truly cannot work at all due to real disability or caring duties which is a full time job anyway.

  • Can the Scots do the sums?

If and when they become independent they will have to repay their share of the UK national debt, approximately £140 billion pounds, they will also have to pay, as lender of last resort, the cost of saving the Royal Bank of Scotland, that's another £40 billion.

On top of that they will lose the £12billion per year they receive from the UK government.

Latest figures show that the total value of ALL north sea oil revenues to be £22billion per year.

A quick calculation will show that ALL of the north sea oil revenues will be needed for 20 years simply to pay off the capital debt before interest.

As Scotland has very limited manufacturing or other wealth creating businesses it is hard to see how they are going to finance their government spending without huge tax rises and cuts to vital services..

Of course they could opt, as France is doing, to become a province of Germany.

  • Do the people of Scotland realise that independence will make their country bankrupt?

Their share of the UK national debt is about £140billion, add on the cost of rescuing the Royal bank of Scotland and it's nearer £200 billion.

Some say that independence is the natural aim of any country and comes before everything, personally I'd prefer to feed, clothe and house my family.

  • What possessed our government to give the go ahead to the high speed rail link?

If the rail companies think this is such a good idea, why don't they finance it?

It will make rail transport so expensive that few people will be able to afford to use it.

The time saved per journey simply isn't worth the cost.

The government is busy cutting jobs in the health service, education, defence etc and yet is proposing to spend a sum of money far in excess of the money saved from these cuts on something only nutters want.

It is absolutely insane and I'm not even sure I fancy travelling on a train that travels so fast. At least if something goes wrong on a plane there can be time to sort the problem out but with a train you're hitting the ground immediately.

  • Has it not struck "Alex" Salmond that England also has a right to a referendum on english independence?

It fits that if the scots believe they have a right to hold a referendum on independence so does England.

Whilst I think the Scots have a right to choose I also think they would be insane, their country would immediately be bankrupt just like Greece due to their liabilities re their share of the UK national debt.

And they are delusional if they believe that oil revenues will be sufficient for them to finance their country's needs.

And just think of the massive loss of jobs when the English government withdraws it's nuclear submarine bases etc.

And just who is going to subsidise those useless, hugely unaffordable wind turbines? The poor old scottish taxpayer.

Scottish students won't be too happy either when they find their free university education being replaced by the highest costing one in Europe.

Scotland will become dependent on tourism for it's income and will probably become a colony of Angela Merkel's euro crunching empire, so much for independence!

  • What kind of country has a leader who wants independence for his country, but not just yet?

It is absolutely illogical to claim that independence is vital to your country and then fight the government that wants to hold an early referendum. Alec Salmond is an opportunistic political dwarf and will lead his country to disaster.

  • Can we have your views on Christmas TV programming?

This has got to be the lowest of the low for Christmas TV.

Neither the BBC or Sky provided anything worth watching and almost all their programmes were repeats of programmes made years ago.

It really is disgraceful that companies and organisations that receive billions of pounds in licence fees and subscriptions do not provide us with decent new programmes 52 weeks of the year.

Time to refuse to pay my licence fee as a protest methinks and to cancel my Sky subscription too, care to join me?

  • Why don't the BBC and Sky offer a 12 month TV service?

I pay my TV licence fee and Sky subscription for a full year's TV but at various times of the year they see fit to fill the channels with antique programmes that have already been paid for many times over. Pre Christmas being a prime example and when Christmas comes along we'll have loads of second rate dross to watch with ten minutes of ads or trailers every five minutes, it's not good enough, we're being taken for a ride..

  • Should Cameron have agreed to go down the plughole with the other 26 EU countries?

We may get a bit singed but better that than burnt to a crisp as a result of the Euro crisis.

  • How can the LIb Dems stay in the coalition?

They disagree profoundly with the conservatives on the most important question this country has faced in the past fifty years or more.

How can they expect us to take them seriously? They are a joke led by a clown without principle!

  • Will the USA and other nations stop choosing their leaders based on looks?

One of the big faults with modern democracy is that too many half wits will choose their leaders based, not on whether the candidates are intelligent and capable, but on whether they look pretty or handsome.

How else did the republican party end up with such a pile of nincompoops fighting for the top job, I wouldn't trust any of them to make a cup of coffee.

  • Should union members in the private sector resign from their union?

Unite and other unions have sat on their hands whilst their members in the private, wealth creating, pay for everything sector have seen their pensions decimated.

Now workers in the public, tax payer funded sector have their full backing to go on strike.

What a betrayal of their private sector members!
