I just got home and there was a court summons taped to my door. My ex bf wants custody of our son. I knew this would happen sooner or later but I just need some advice. I was with him for almost 2 years and last February I got pregnant with my son William. I stayed with him till I was 7 months along and left him because he was abusive. When I left him it was because he held a knife to my neck telling me if we ever split he wanted custody of his child and if I didn't give it to him he would kill me and my family. So the next day I called the police and he was arrested for domestic assault and I got a protective order against him thats good through August this year. He also smokes pot and takes pills, thats another reason why I left. I am in the process of trying to get child support, as he hasn't given me a dime for my son and he gets disability checks every month. What I want to know is does he have a chance of getting any sort of custody of my son?
