  • Can't log in to Yahoo Mail after installing Yahoo Toolbar.?

    IE7/XP

I installed Yahoo Toolbar but when I try to log in to Yahoo Mail, it says there's an error and puts me back at the login screen.

I tried uninstalling the Toolbar via Control Panel but Mail still doesn't work.

I installed Firefox without the toolbar and I'm able to log in to my mail so it's not an account problem.

I reinstalled the Toolbar and specifically said not to install on Firefox and it didn't fix the problem.

My next step is to back up my data, reformat the system, and reinstall XP and all my apps and then restore the data.

And yea, I could just use Firefox but I have some stuff that requires IE and it's a pain to remember to use FF when I want to check my mail and IE for the necessary sites.

  • Electric Guitar stopped working.?

It was working a few months ago. I took it back out of the case and now I don't get any sound from the amp. I used a second cable and it didn't work and I tried it on the two battery powered tuners and neither responded to the guitar so I think it's the guitar itself.

I retrieved the schematics from the Fender site (it's a 1992 Fender Mexican Telecaster) and checked out the on line manual just to see if there was an active pickup. It doesn't appear to have a battery.

I'm reasonably handy so there's no fear of taking it apart if necessary but I thought I'd check in case I missed something before I do that.

I switched the pickups and made sure the volume and tone on the guitar were up.

So before I break it down, any ideas on what the problem might be? Something to be aware of when I take it apart? If it's not obvious, I have a card for a tech but I thought I'd check on line first.
