How to hold a bracket through plasterboard and cement?
Hi, I am putting up brackets in a wall. The house was cheaply build and the gap between the plasterboard and what is either cement or blockwork is insufficient for a plug to fit in a hold securely on the plasterboard. The concrete/blockwork is to far in for a rawlplug, and impossible to drill through, trying to keep the plsterboard looking smart.
Th depth between the plasterboard and wall fluctuates (great builders over here in Ireland!).
Can anyone suggest a method of securing brackets given the above difficulties?
Thanks
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoWhat pc specifications would be best for video editing?
Hi,
I edit videos on a daily basis, downloading from dv tape and using coral videostudio to edit, add titles, overlays etc.
What would be the optimal pc specifications to do this (while perhaps working on other non video projects while video is downloading).
By specifications I mean RAM, Hard drive space, processor graphics card etc.
I would be working on video sizes up to 11GB (as avi)
Thanks
1 AnswerDesktops1 decade agoWhy If its bad in England 'Its bad in England' but if its bad in Scotland its bad in the UK?
The news is reporting about the swine flue cases in Scotland as being in the UK. Why are the Scottish Nationalists not protesting about this. If it occured in England the news would say England, not the UK.
Is Scotland only recognised as a country for good things?
11 AnswersMedia & Journalism1 decade agoWhy does the engine on my Fiat Bravo lose power when driving?
I have a 1.3 1997 Fiat Bravo. When driving the engine loses power and on occassion stalls. Sometimes the injector warning light comes on, but not always.
The car is kept well serviced, and specific to the problem we have had the following done.
Fuel filter cleaned,
Injectors checked (a fiat dealer said he thought he may have fixed the problem)
Changed petrol brand/garage.
Fuel regulator (the lever thing beneath the air filter) checked
It feels like the engine is starved, or flooded and this can happen during any driving condition (i.e. in traffic jams or doing 60mph on the motorway).
Has anyone had this problem (I have been behind a Fiat Brava with the same symptoms). And how was it fixed?
Personally I am thinking new car definetly not a Fiat!
Thanks.
11 AnswersFiat1 decade agoDoes anyone know a suitable barrier cream for use on the face?
I am looking for a barrier cream that would be suitable for use on the face and around the eyes.
The barrier cream is to protect the skin from mildly aggressive dust which causes skin irritation, in addition to safety goggles and mask.
Preferably the barrier cream should not contain lanolin and if made from natural ingredients all the better.
Thanks
