anyone have experience with these servo controlled units? i have a 94 corolla w/o cruise and really do need it for long road trips. they look pretty straight forward as far as installation and use.

thinkin about 2 of these in a vented enclosure tuned to 35 w/ subsonic runnin 24db/30hz. they state quite a bit of xmax but cant find the size of the VC on them... also states copper vc on these. how does that hold up heat wise. and it has a very high bl of 14 as stated on the re site i believe... sounds a little high to me.? tnx

anyone find some decent quality ones online anywhere. have to be comfortable and well made obviously. thanks in advance

so ya think he actually flies more than 100mph and would he be able to keep it up the whole trip?

ok so my son has blown 2 subs already. now i told him that i was going for total sq over spl...i aim for a speaker q of .6 to give that low deep accurate bass... had his 12" sub in around 3 cf enclosures tuned to 25hz running subsonic at 30hz.now i dont need alot of people stating its too big for a 12" cause i know what i desire in audio.....but as for him he just doesnt realize a speaker can only move so much air... he keeps tellin me that he wants sq but goes overboard when showing off his system.my question is do i buy crap mtx that have a fs of aound 40hz and tell him to have at it in a sealed box with absolutely no lw deep accurate bass... or should i aim for a higher q with a good speaker like the tc sounds epic 12" is the next to try lol.(say .85 or so) so it rolls off quicker? i am not ready to throw crappy mtx or kicker stand alone woofers in his ride just yet.

so wheres a good place to get the wire,ends and decent battery terminals, and the fuse and holder for the big 3 upgrade? i am putting in a 165 amp alternator in so what gauge should i go with and what size fuse? bigger, smaller, exact match what? i heard welding cable leads were good for the wire part... not sure though. maybe a kit that has everything.... i dont need top of the line but i dont want crap either...

anyone have 1 or 2 of these in a vehicle?they will be in the trunk of a 94 corolla.. how they sound?looking for good bass obviously. parameters look very good but a little leaary of aluminum cone. would have em in a vented cab tuned to 33-35hz, subsonic at 30hz and run up to 80 or 100 hz tops...they on sale at PE for 180 apiece.. lotta xmax for a 12" speaker.am thinkin one for home theater also maybe....

so my sons car has a 70 amp alternator. my amp has 40 amps worth of fuses..heck the headunit has a 20 amp fuse....would his small alternator more than likely be the cause of the amp shutting off when turned up to a decent volume... ground is good and wiring is good. i just dont want ta tell him a alternator will take care of it and still have the problem..

so i have this shifter/brake and a little while back it was not working at all. was just getting a clicking noise and no movement through the cable... dude on here said to use a degreaser cause its probably all gummed up inside.i did that and now it swings freely 1/4 of the way like its suppose to i believe and then engages and moves my derailuer over enough to jump the teeth on the next set of teeth.. but when i go for the 3rd gear it moves freely 3/4 of the way and barely nudges it over at all when it clicks at full rotation. now i am wondering if the gears in there are suppose to realign so it engages at 1/4 way of the movement like it does the first time around? i picked this bike up pretty cheap at an auction just so i could ride with my father in law when he is in town, so i really dont wanna spend a bill on a new shifter(amongst other things it needs)... what would be the best degreaser to use that wouldnt harm the plastics if it is possibly just gummed up that bad.. and what shold i use to oil or grease it??? some kind of teflon spray?? obviously im not a bike dude..cause i had problems airing up the tires lol.are ya suppose to keep that little nut on the valve stem when ya air up your tire cause mine dropped in the tube twice????...

need to replace a front shifter/brake lever on a trek bike and was wondering if i should replace it with this same shifter or a higher number series shifter.. would it be compatible??? the crank has 3 sprockets on it..or are there replaement parts for the shifting part... tried takin it apart without much luck though..

so tired of watching these roughing the passer calls.. put the guy in a skirt or have the D do the jumping jack thing counting one one thousand two one thousand like kids did in first grade... almost done watching football..

are these some tough lookin speakers or what... looks like somethin spock would have in his ride

i remember back in 89 walking through mccormick place back in chicago feeling this really really low bass.couldnt hear it obviously but it was there...we walked and walked all around that place for about an hour and finally found the dude in the corner all by himself with not a single person around him asking him questions about his setup..it is the bass that i have always aspired to obtain whether in a home enviroment or vehicle environment... it was all about the transients of that sub ...someday.. someday i will be able to... well anyways.. seems like most people whether on this forum or drivin around town put togethr systems so they can be heard outside of their cars..sort of odd i think.wouldnt a person choose perfect bass in the vehicle for his enjoyment?. but back to the point... nowadays the contrabass that was made by intersonics is obsolete... how does the perfect subwoofer not stick around ??? i have come to the conclusion that people dont know or care what good sound is.and while bass is just one aspect of the music... it is the one that i enjoy the most. what do you think??

there has to be something i could pick up for less $$$ that would fill my room with pure sound like a bose system
