  • How long to get a package in Canada after clearing customs?

I shipped a video game international Express Mail insured for $1000.00 to Canada on 8/22/12. USPS said it would take 3-5 business days to get to the reciever in Canada. Today is 8/29/12, the 5th business day and the buyer has not recieved it. Of course I sold it via eBay and he is upset that he hasn't gotten it yet, but I shipped on the same day he paid. Tracking number states: Customs Clearance Processing Complete on the morning of 8/27/12. When should he get it?

Shipped to: Alberta CA T0A 2H0

  • eBay items damaged in transit by post office, it was insured, how to get money back?

I'm an eBay seller and sold several Nintendo 64 consoles to a buyer along with controllers and cords. Buyer recieved the items today and said they were damaged and wants his money back. I asked for pictures today but have not gotten them yet. I'm already skeptical about how truthful he is due to the fact that I pack the items well and I have 100% feedback on 1000 transactions while he has 99.2% feedback on about 2000 transactions with a number of neutrals and negatives.

Anyways I always insure items over $200 and this auction went for $350. How would I go about getting my money back from the post office for damages to the items? Please be specific because I even have a friend who works for the post office and doesnt really know their own guidelines.

  • Can an eBay seller sue an eBay buyer for fraud?

I sold six Nintendo 64 systems to a buyer with seven controllers, power cords and video cords. When I shipped it the box was well packed so there was no movement of the items when I shook it. Buyer recieved the box today and stated some of the consoles were cracked and others broken. He said he didnt even test them due to their condition. I am very thorough on my item descriptions and while a few had scuffs which I mentioned, they were all in working condition when sent out. I have 100% feedback on over 1000 transactions. He has 99.2% feedback on about 2000 transactions with a good number of neutrals and negatives in there. I notice the items I sold to him he tends to resell so he can make some money too, but some of his negative feedback is about his own items not working. I am thinking he has some not working items he is saying are "mine" and will try to represent them as his own.

I wrote him back same day (today) and told him to send me pictures of the damaged items which he has yet to do, but how can I know the pictures he sends are actually "my" items and not his own bad stock? I dont have a way to prove they were working before besides the fact of my 100% feedback, but he also really has no way to prove they were not working before he got them. I live in Washington state and he lives in Vermont if that helps.

On a side note I always provide insurance on items over $200 and this one went for $350. If it is true and the items were damaged in transit, how would I go about getting my money back from the post office for damaging them so I can send him his money back?

  • Several air travel questions: E-tickets, multiple boarding passes on international flights, Manila, etc.?

Just a few questions since I dont travel by air much.

    1. I purchased my E-tickets through Priceline for a trip from Seattle to Tokyo to Manila and back again. The carrier on all the flights is Delta FYI. At my first airport in Seattle when I show up with my confirmation number and all that info, will they print boarding passes for ALL my stops at once, i.e. boarding passes for Seattle and Tokyo? Or do I have to get one in Tokyo as well? I wont need one for Manila until I leave since it's my final destination for vacation. My layover time in Tokyo is less than two hours so I assume I will get all the boarding passes at once.

    2. I hear that the airport in Manila (Ninoy International) will not let you into the airport (i.e. when you leave the country after vacation) unless you have an actual ticket in hand and not an eTicket. Like literally an armed guard wont let you enter the airport without one. Supposedly you have to go to an airport office and have them sign a form saying the eTicket is legit before the guard will let you pass, anyone have any experience with that before?

I think that's it for now, thanks in advance :)

  • On a connecting international flight, do I need to go through customs at the first international stop or last?

I'm travelling from Seattle to Tokyo to Manila for a trip. I wont be staying in Tokyo at all, I am only at that airport to reach my connecting flight to Manila. All the flights are via Delta if that helps. Will I need to go through customs in Tokyo or wait until I get to Manila? My connecting layover is less than two hours so I want to know if I will have enough time to reach my terminal. Also on the way back I am basically taking the same route: Manila to Tokyo to Sea-Tac, so if I dont have to worry about customs in Tokyo the first time, pretty sure I wont have to worry about it a second time. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

  • How much credit score will I build up if I pay my loan off early?

I have a $3500 loan for a motorcycle. I can pretty much pay it off now 3 months after i got the loan, but doing that I get no credit score. The bank said you start "accruing credit" after 12 months of consecutive payments. I paid off a $6000 loan for my truck in 10 months and got nothing for credit, really quite angered me.

My question is, if I hold on to the cash and pay off the loan in 18 months instead of the 36 months the loan is out for, will I get a higher cred it score for paying it off early or not? What would be the optimal timeframe for paying this $3500 loan off so I get maximum credit score?

  • Marvel vs Capcom on PS1 help?

I used to play this game in the arcade, you chose two players and would fight against two computer AI, one at a time of course. You could switch back and forth between them in the middle of a match in case you were getting your butt kicked. I can't figure out the mode or settings to do this on the PS1 version of the game. Yeah you can choose two characters, but only one is a special character or an assist character and can't be used normally.

Is there a way or certain settings I can make that happen? This is played on a PS2 and no I wont do any system mods.

  • Some NES Nintendo games have flat tops, most have notches. Which is more rare?

I'm going through my old NES collection and I have a few duplicate copies of some games. Some of these duplicates have the flat tops and five screws on the back. Most NES games have the notces on the top of the cart and three screws on the back. I assume it is hard to find the ones that have flat tops as they were only made early in the NES lifespan.

My question is, which is more rare? I have two copies of Castlevania, one is flat while the other is notched. Which would I hypothetically get more money for if I sold them separately? Just trying to figure it out since I'm selling off some.

  • Will my friends education from Indonesia transfer over to the U.S.?

I have a friend going to school in Indonesia for business management. The school is named STMI (sekolah tinggi manajemen industri) if that helps. After finishing she wants to know if her degree will transfer over so she can go right to work when she comes over here.

I ask because I have a coworker from the Phillipines who studied and got her degree there, then had to go to school here because it wouldnt transfer over. Would it be better for her to come here now and go to school or finish there and hope it transfers over? Thanks in advance.

  • In the notes section on Netflix, it says "until 7/1/11" on a few movies. Will they last through 7/1 or 6/30?

I check every week because it seems a TV show or a movie is going to end in a few days. The notes section in a few of my movies states: Until 7/1/11. Does that mean they will no longer be available after 11:59PM on 6/30 or do I have till 11:59PM on 7/1 to watch them? I know if I start a movie before it ends I will be able to finish it assuming I don't turn off the device. I have five movies to watch before they end and want to know if I have only 11 hours remaining or 1 day and 11 hours. Thanks.

  • A packaged delivered by USPS was stolen from my doorstep, what can I do?

This happened four days ago. I was at work when a package I ordered a week ago was delivered to my house about 3PM. I don't get off till 11PM. The package had tracking confirmation so I know it got there. I get home and there is no package in my mailbox or the lockbox or the doorstep or anything. I figure I'll wait a day until I talk with the postal employee who delivered it and see if it was in the office (of my apartment complex). Nothing in the office, employee said she remembers setting it on the doorstep and my neighbors say they didn't see anything. I have a good friend who works for the post office who can't really help me out. He says, "Since it wasn't insured there isn't anything they can do about it". Isn't that kind of messed up how the USPS, a part of the government can get away with losing things or having things stolen on a daily basis? This never happened to me with FedEx or UPS. The postal woman who delivered the package said they just implimented new laws stating they aren't to leave packages at doorsteps anymore. I've been trying to find these laws and the post office website is a jumble of confusion, like it doesn't want me to find these specific rules...if they even exist. Can anyone find out anything about these supposed laws? I'm thinking about putting a sign on my door that says "Absolutely do NOT leave any packages at doorstep". If that was in place and they did it again and something else was stolen would I be able to use that against them somehow?

Is there anything I can do to get the $60 bucks worth I spent on the items back or am I SOL? This was an eBay thing and they will cover the seller in this situation since he did everything right and I don't blame him for it at all.

Also I know I just asked a bunch of questions in a row but any help would be appreciated.

  • Nintendo Wii won't reload after closing Netflix channel?

I watch Netflix through the Netflix channel on my Nintendo Wii with no problems. I don't use the Netflix bootup disc or anything like that. When I'm finished watching for awhile I press the home button on the Wii controller to go back to the main screen to play a game. Occasionally (about 5% of the time) the Wii never loads to the main menu. No Wii channels, no games, no nothing. The screen stays on the black screen like when the system is in limbo trying to load, then just stops. The Wii doesn't make any noises at all when it reaches this point. The only way to get it to turn off is to literally pull the power cord from the system and plug it back in. It's just irritating to have to do that every so often, I switch back and forth between games and Netflix several times a day and it can get irritating.

Anyone know what causes this and if there is a potential solution?

  • How do I go about selling an idea for a new product?

I have an idea that I think is great for a new bathroom product. No I won't say what it is because I'm surprised no one else came up with it yet. Anyway I figure I could make some good money off of the idea. How would I go about doing that? Talking to manufacturers of bathroom products like Johnson & Johnson or something? Make a demo version of the product?

  • Is it just me or does Half Life 2 on XBox take forever to load?

I recently purchased this game on eBay. When loading up for the first time in my original XBox it took at least five minutes to get to the main cinematic where you start playing the game. Is the load time supposed to be so abnormally long? The disc is in excellent shape with barely any scratches if that helps.

  • Netflix on my Nintendo Wii won't let me add DVDs to my queue like i used to...why?

I used to be able to add movies directly to my DVD queue via my Wii, but now I can't. I can still do it online though. Also I'm nowhere near my limit on my instant queue or my DVD queue if that helps. Is this because all the BS with Netflix wanting to go to a streaming only service?

  • My number of Youtube videos is off, why is that?

It says I have 51 videos loaded, yet whenever I go to check them all out it only shows 48. I save copies of all my videos and I have 48 saved. Nearest I can think is I loaded a few test videos to make sure everything worked and that's how the number got to 51. I deleted those ones quite awhile ago. Is there a way to make it go to 48? I know I'm anal for precision.

  • How do people cheat on multiplayer Goldeneye 007 for Wii? Can it be stopped?

People are cheating on multiplayer. There stats show they are level 22 or whatever level they are, yet they have access to weapons not available until they reach level 50 or higher. Examples being Ivana Spec-R assault rifle, proximity mines and the later sniper rifles. These can only be unlocked at higher levels yet somehow they have them. How do they do it? Also can it be stopped? It's BS that I work my *** off to get to high levels and they cheat their way through.

  • In the book World War Z a Soviet poster is mentioned. What is it called? Please help me find it.?

Page 293 states: It shows a ghostly image of an old Soviet soldier reaching down from heaven to hand a crude submachine gun to a grateful young Russian. The caption underneath reads "Dyedooshka, Spaciba". (Thank you, Grandfather).

It may be something made up by the author, but I can totally imagine the Soviet art style that would be used. It'd be deep red with several angled lines as a strong Soviet hand reaches down from above to hand the machine gun to a smaller very grateful hand. If anyone knows anything about it please let me know.

  • My Charter cable TV/internet are hooked up through the same wire, will I lose internet when I cancel Cable TV?

Here's the setup. I am cancelling the Cable TV portion of my Charter setup. I don't use it enough to justify keeping it. The way the system is set up I had a 3-point hookup that linked cables between the Charter TV Box, the Wireless Router and the Cable TV port in the wall of my apartment. I was told to remove all the wires and the TV box and send them to the local office. Since I removed all the cables connected to the box, the wall and my wireless router I lost the internet. When I plug a single wire into the Cable TV port in the wall of my apartment and into the Wireless router I have internet again. I'm concerned because I was getting both TV and internet through this one cable and want to make sure it won't be disconnected when my TV is shut off on December 22nd. I called Charter support and they said it won't be but I'm still skeptical since it all comes through the same wire. All of the computers and laptops are set up wirelessly so I can move them as needed, so I don't want to connect anything via ethernet cables.

Am I just being paranoid about losing my internet access or has this happened to anyone else?
