Hey there.

This is kind of long, but please stick with it and any help would be tremendously appreciated.

So I was just surfing the Internet on my laptop, and all of a sudden, my Internet stops working. I was watching a vid, and then it stopped loading, so I exited the browser and tried opening it again but the homepage wouldn't show. It's just shows that white blank page that you get when a website is loading. I was using Google Chrome, so I tried to open Internet Explorer but that wouldn't open either. The page is just loading. Like its really slow.

And now, internets doesn't work on my iPhone either when connected to wifi. YouTube doesn't load, Safari doesn't load. I'm using data to write this.

Is it possible that my Internet connection is being downed do to a virus or is it possibly a local area problem or ISP problem. Can hackers and people throttle/take over/control your internet like that? I'm gonna call my ISP tomorrow because its late here.

So I checked my e-mail today, which is an Outlook account (previously hotmail/live account), and then when I go to sign out, which usually takes me to the MSN page or whatever page it was, something like signout.live.com or such, it now comes up with a big red screen with an error message. The tab says its an SSL error, and it warns of a potential hacker on the network trying to redirect me to a harmful website.

Anyone know how to fix it? Have any of you guys who have hotmail/outlook accounts been getting this message when trying to sign out?

So I was just browsing around on my laptop when this thing popped up, like a full screen document thing that blocked everything. ALL ACCESS. I cant close it. It says that I was violating one or more of these 3 laws/acts and that if I don't pay the fine ($100) that I could go to jail or prison or something for up to 4-12 years. Depending on the violation. It says its been issued by the government of Canada. But the title on the top says, in big bold letters "POLIZEI" or something.

It says if the fine is not payed within 72 hours, that the government is tracking my profile and that the punishments will go into effect or something.

I'm really very scared. I'm typing this on my iPhone and my hands are shaking like crazy.

So when we bought the laptop, it said it came with a Radeon 7770 Graphics/Video Card or something like that. Its also running Windows 7.

When I go to Configure Switchable Graphics and select my desired program and configure it to use the high performance graphics card (Radeon), under Graphics Properties - Application Profiles, it says the program is still running the Intel HD Graphics.

Why is this?

The problem occured a few days ago, about three days maybe. Before, my internet was incredibly fast, file downloads were fast and streaming videos was also incredibly fast.

But the past three days or so, video streaming has gotten incredibly slow. I tried to download some files a friend of mine sent me, and the downloads were also incredibly slow or would get interrupted. However, it seems that video streaming and file downloads are the only things that are slow. Everything else with the internet is fine.

Here's what i've tried:

Cleared the cache, temporary internet files etc.

Unplugged and re-plugged the modem

Scanned the computer with two different software for viruses. Nothing was found.

Tried using both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer (both are latest versions)

My Adobe Flash Player is updated to the latest version, my computer itself is fast and is also working fine.

I called my ISP and they were no help. I might try again, and hopefully i'll get a better representative.

So yeah, i have no idea what the problem could be. If someone could help that would be greatly appreciated. I'll choose best answer as well. Once again, remember, its only video streaming and downloading files that seems to be slow, everything else with the internet is fine.

I currently live in Ontario, but I want to post an Ad that pertains to people in Calgary. As an example, like if someones trying to find a job in Calgary, or a house, or whatever, and they live outside of Calgary. When I try to post in Calgary Kijiji, my Ad gets removed because it says its "Outside the Local Area" or whatever.

I was just wondering how one would go about doing something like this on Kijiji. I have read the posting rules and all that stuff, didn't help.

When a person who does not have an iPhone adds a person who does have an iPhone as a contact, does the person with the iPhone recieve an alert or message or something saying that there number was added by someone?

Something like "Your number was added as a contact by 384-283-2838" or "You were added as a contact by 384-283-2838".

I tried to burn songs to a CD using Itunes, but it would only let me burn 13 songs. The CD is 700 MB but the songs were only like 130 MB altogether, and 1.3 hours.

If I use Nero, the latest one I think, Nero Burning Rom 10, can I burn more songs than this, or is this it no matter what software I use to burn them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, so basically the question says it all, what are some great guitar amps? My budget, well basically anything below $3000.

I mostly play hard rock and blues, but from time to time, I do play heavy metal as well. Most songs I play are Led Zeppelin songs.

I am a Zeppelin fanatic!!!

So I just need a great amp on which I can play Zeppelin songs, so that it will sound close to the recording. I have seen so many videos on Youtube with all these people playing Led Zeppelin covers, and they sound exactly like the recording. In order to do this, is a good amp enough, or do you also need a sh**load of other stuff as well?

I have also seen people doing covers of U2 songs, they also sound dead on, if not exactly alike!!! Is an amp enough for this, or do you need additional equipment?

In the movie It Might Get Loud, there is a scene where they show Jimmy back in the 70s playing at a Led Zeppelin concert, and he is playin an improvised version of the Stairway To Heaven solo.

Does anybody know what year and where this concert takes place?

Ok, so I have installed Adobe After Effects CS4, my laptop exceeds all the requirements that are needed to run the program. However, when I open the program up, and I make a new project and make a new composition, and drag a video in, the video does not play. All I see is the black screen.

There is a play button to the right hand side, I pressed that to see if it would play the video, but it does not.

Most of my videos, including the one I dragged in, are in QuickTime format.

Can you please tell me how to correctly get a video up and running, the correct process of starting up a project and video, etc. and what order to do things in.

Ok, so I have a memory stick with about 80 - 90 songs on it, and whenever I want to listen to the on the Xbox 360, I always have to put the memory stick in and listen!!

Is there anyway I can save all the songs from my memory stick on to the hard drive so that I dont have to plug in my memory stick all the time?

I am planning on getting an Itouch soon, and I was wondering which one is worth getting, the 16 or 32?

Here is what I will use it for, I watch a lot of movies, and the Itouch screen is great for watching movies, becuase its just so big, and also for watching videos and shows. I am planning on putting on a bunch of movies, some TV shows and a whole lot of songs!!! Were talking maybe around maybe 500-1000 songs. Most likely it'll be closer to 500.

Some of the movies I am planning on putting in are, the whole "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "Gladiator", a movie called "Sahara" and "Meet the Robinsons", yeah, I want to have some movies on there for my sister as well. And I will also put some shows on!!!!

So if any1 can help me out with this that would be really appreciated. Best answer will be chosen once I have sufficient amount of answers, at least 10 answers. If I do not get 10 answers, I will look at the answers that have been posted so far and chose the best one.
