I'm a Time Warner Cable customer in Cincinnati. TW drastically increased their rates. I have 1 tv in my house and its an HDTV. I use TW for my internet with Roadrunner.

Here is a break down of what I'm paying for a month with TW

Digital Cable + High Speed Data - includes basic tier, standard tier, value tier, music choice & Roadrunner -$98.33

Variety Tier-$5.95

Hi-Def DVR Converter box -$7.64

DVR Function -$9.95

Hi-Def Tier- $6.95

Remote - 31 (cents)

Total after tax is approximately $134.

Those with Dish Network what do you pay per month and what channel package do you have? I don't have any premium movie channels etc. Also, do you have to have a home phone line for Dish? What do you do if you don't have a home phone? If possible be as descriptive as possible for me so i can weigh my options.

Do sauna's help you lose weight by sweating it out or is this a myth. If they do help you lose weight can you explain how it does so.

I go to the gym 3-5 times a week and typically use an elliptical machine for 45-60 minutes each time. I like using the elliptical better because it's softer on my knees than running on a treadmill.

The type of elliptical machines the gym has is the Precor EFX576i. On the machine it has the heart rate monitor thing where you can grip the handles and it displays your heart rate. Also, before you begin on the elliptical it asks you to enter your age and weight in order to keep track of your calories that you burn. So my question is, how accurate is the calorie burnt number that is displayed on the machine?

After 45-60 minutes it says i burn anywhere from 700-1100 calories. So with entering my age and weight, is the 700-1100 calories burnt right or does it over estimate?

My fiance has a Bank of America credit card. There's a $7500 limit on the card but after finance charges, late fees etc, the debt is now at $8900. She went 120 days late on payments and was called by Card Services, they say they're a collection division of Bank of America. They offered her settlement in the amount of $4500 rather than the $8900 on the card. She thinks its a deal because half the debt is "vanishing". We checked her credit report and she isn't listed as being in collections just extremely late on pay. I argued with her saying that the settlement is bad and that it will affect her credit for years to come but she thinks its a good plan. We're planning on looking for a house in a year and a half and i don't want this to affect our buying power. So how does settlement effect her credit? Does paying off the full amount rather than settling look better on your credit report even though the account is past due? What should we do, who's right here?

I have a Treo 650 cell phone with Verizon coverage. The cell phone plan is for unlimited data also. The Treo 650 has bluetooth capability. I also have an Acer Aspire 5102WLMi laptop with bluetooth capability.

My big question is, can i sync the Treo 650 with the Acer laptop to where the Treo 650 provides the laptop with an internet connection in order for me to check email, etc.

Any and all advise pertinent to this situation is greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
