  • Dream Interpretation?

    Interpretations welcome! :)

I had a very strange dream! I met up with a person I hadn't seen in almost seven years. When I knew him originally, we only interacted for maybe a month and I'd say we became whatever you call that thing between aquaintance and friend. So the bond wasn't strong. We'll call him Nate. In the dream, I saw a sewing machine and thought, "Hmm, that machine is hard at work. Gosh, I hope Nate doesn't get any crazy ideas." My best memory of Nate is how crazy he was. (Very sexually active with women, a partier, loved weed, that type of stuff... BTW, those are probably the reasons why we didn't become good friends, because I'm not into any of those things. Not even women, I'm gay.) Anyway, as I was worried about him getting ideas, he kind of lifts one of his hands and one of mine and acts like he's got a great idea. I thought, "Uh uh, you can't be thinking about sewing our hands together." He didn't agree, but didn't disagree. So the person sewing (I didn't see his/her face) actually grabbed my thumb, had a blade that looked like those rectangular blades about two inches by one (the ones used in those old style razors that you would open and put the blad inside), and then cut a slit on my finger. I didn't bleed, nor felt pain. Just got scared for a quick moment. But I was surprised at seeing that it wasn't as painful or damaging as I could imagine. And he wanted to show me that getting it sewed wouldn't be a problem. I refused. Then Nate acted more willing and went on to get his finger cut and sewed. I remember thinking, "Wow, you can sew skin with thread?!" Even in the dream I saw in confussion. Woke up the same way. Can you help me find any meaning--if any--to this dream? Thanks in advance! :)

  • Meaning of my dream, please?

I dreamed I was in jail--but I was not the prisoner. I was not even an employee. However, I was helping, or after a while, forcing someone else to be in prison. That someone else was an old man, at least 60 years old, I would say. He didn't want to be in prison, but in my dream I seemed to know he deserved to be in prison. I physically took him up some stairs to what must have been the 2nd (or 3rd, whatever) floor, where there was a room, or his "cell." It wasn't a conventional cell, it was a green, blueish room with a wooden door. Next to the door was an opening, window-like. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure it even had a window, but it did not have those metal bars cells have. The room was fairly big and had a hallway on the side, with a mirror at the back end of the hallway. Anyway, heres the even more strange part--I struggled, wrestled I guess is the word, with the old man to get him into the "cell" and to get him to stay in there. I would get him in there, and as I would run back out to lock the wooden door behind me, he would run to stop me. At first he would come out before I could lock the door, so I had to grab him and force him back in. After a few tries, I would run out before him, and I would start to lock the door, but I couldn't figure out how to lock it. Then, I would figure out how to lock it, but the locks were very ineffective. One of the times, I locked the door and the old man forced the door open right through them. I tried one last time to get him back in, and that time we really struggled. I pushed him way back into the room, through the hallway, back to the mirror. I remember having kind of a "Hmm?" moment when I saw the mirror. But I was convinced to imprison this man, as I remember thinking, "He might be a good man and he may think he is not bad, but its not good for the world for him to get out of prison." So told myself to focus on the task at hand, which I did. So I ran out, locked the door, and remember thinking, "I got him locked now!" I left and started walking down the stairs when I heard him struggle with the door. I looked up, and he simply pulled the door open--as opposed to PUSHING IT, like all the times before--and the locks again were useless, even more than before. I remember thinking, "Dang, all that hard work, and the locks aren't even designed to hold the door closed when pulling on it." I remember having kind of an overview of the whole place, the stairs, the room, etc--it seemed like a moment of awareness of my surroundings, a view from above--and then I woke up.

Please give me your best interpretation.
