Ferocious..

Hi, I'm fixing a laptop that I would love to give back today. What happened is when I was running the disk cleanup everything close and you could only see the desktop wallpaper. Then I turned it off. Now when I try to start the computer all i get is "Windows is starting"

The funny thing is that it lets me boot up all safe modes. Can anyone help me, the laptop is of a very good friend :(

Long story short my uncle has this laptop and the hardware had corrupted a little bit. I made a system repair disc and fixed it. He wanted me to upgrade to windows 7 ultimate do i did and as i did the system did a disk check and when it booted up to supposedly finish the update process i was left with this blue screen and the mouse pointer and everything was blank. Now everytime i use my system repair disc nothing boots up I get a blank blue screen with the cursor. Ive been trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate but it keeps on getting stuck at the setup is starting screen. PLease help me I need to get this laptop fixed by tomorrow morning :(

I know my CPU is crap but what cheap CPU can run games like Skyrim, Battlefield 3, and MW3 because I know I have a good graphics card its just my CPU speed ruins it.

I cant read disks!! If I put one in it makes this wierd loud grinding noise and doesnt read my disk? should i fan test it!! PLEASE HELP MY WARANTY IS OVER
