Lubricating a shotgun with Boeshield T-9, safe to shoot?
Just cleaned and lubricated my 12 gauge with Boeshield T-9, figured it would be an excellent rust preventative and the action is really smooth when cycled. My question is, will it be safe to shoot? I tried my best to spray it on really evenly in the chamber and bore, I figured since it was a 12 gauge, bore obstruction isn't a big issue. Is this a safe assumption? Also, is Boeshield T-9 flammable when dry?

Other - Hardware7 years agoHave a 1992 Trek 2300 Carbon frameset lined up. Needs new components, what would you put on it?
Comes with frame, headset, original fork, original shimano 600 ultegra brake calipers as well as an intriguing Dura Ace bottom bracket square taper spindle, so I'm assuming its from the same era. Since I can't find much in terms of NOS or used 600 ultegra components, I was thinking about using new Ultegra derailleurs, new 10 speed cassette and a new set of 10 speed bar end shifters in lieu of the STi levers. Then in combination with that, I was planning on finding a set of vintage Shimano aero brake levers and a square taper crankset similar to the original in the heirarchy and year. Good idea? I wasn't planning on spending a ton, but I'd like to make this interesting find into a pleasant ride considering that its a good fit.
7 AnswersCycling7 years agoSaving an attacked avocado sprout?
So, some goddamn squirrels dug up my avocado tree, ate the pit, and separated it from the roots, thus rendering it a stick with two leaves on top. It was a few months old, and was about a foot high. The tree appeared to be alive still, so I took it and stuck it in water. Could I use rooting hormone to get it to sprout new roots in water? I'd really hate to lose it. Thank you.
1 AnswerGarden & Landscape8 years agoCombatting root molding/rot in Avocado sprout?
Have a few month old avocado plant suspended with toothpicks in water, that is pretty far along, the stem is about two inches long, and is growing rapidly. However, I've noticed that the roots are beginning to be surrounded with mold. One of the roots has turned completely brown, but it still is going strong on two and has a new one on the way. How can I prevent this from spreading or reverse it?
1 AnswerGarden & Landscape8 years agoFrequent pimple-like bumps on back of thighs/butt?
Hate to ask this, but every so often, I get large angry red pimple-like things on the back of my thighs and butt. I get them more frequently during the summer, but it isn't uncommon during the rest of the year. They are frequently painful, as I feel them when I sit down, and are especially painful to pop and drain of all pus and blood, but is definitely worth it, as it relieves the pressure and gets it to stop stinging. I am a virgin, no sexual experience, I don't wear tight clothing, I am very hygenic and shower daily. I'm currently using a benzoyl-peroxide wash, and while I realize it may take more than a few days to notice results, the only reason I ask is because I just popped some brand new ones since starting the stuff that were much bigger than before. Anyone else have this problem, or did and have a solution? Thank you!

1 AnswerCycling8 years agoOld School Road Bike?
Hey, I'm ditching my car over the summer and fall, and getting an old school road bike to commute. After looking through Craigslist, I've found a lot of the usual suspects, Schwinn LeTour, World Sport, Etc.
I have narrowed it down to three choices:
1987 Schwinn World Sport (120$): Double Butted 4130 Chromoly frame (major plus, I love the feel of Chromoly frames)
Fuji Sports 10 (155$): Unknown year, Hi-Tensile Steel frame
Fuji Del Rey (250$) Unknown year, Valite Quad butted frame.
All are negotiable, because of craigslist. Which one would you get and why?
2 AnswersCycling8 years agoQuestion regarding an avocado sprout.?
So, a few months ago, I decided to grow an avocado tree, and just let them sit in water, changing it periodically. Just recently, I noticed a big change, the split had opened up more, and there was a root coming out of the bottom. Since it had started to sag a bit from being waterlogged, I tried to re-support it, but in the progress, I separated the two halves surrounding the little sprout in the middle, leaving it only attached on one side of the pit. I stuck two pieces of the wooden spits I was using to support it into the pulp, and pushed the two halves back together again, nearly in the same position as they were before my 1d10t error. Is there any reason to continue sprouting it? Or did I effectively kill it? It doesn't appear as if the sprout was damaged in the process, it was only separated from the pulp from one side. It is still intact with the other half.

1 AnswerHomework Help8 years agoA question of political ethics?
Yesterday, I was driving around, and I noticed that pro-life people were holding up giant posters of aborted children 100 ft outside of several polling stations. Granted, they are allowed to do this due to freedom of speech, but shouldn't public decency be considered in these situations? Being as they were holding these outside of a children's preschool, I am sure many young children saw it, and are probably scarred for life now. Also, based on the same logic, shouldn't I be able to hold equally large posters of gay porn to show support for gay marriage?
4 AnswersCivic Participation9 years agoHelp, I am having cursor problems?
I am on a laptop, and it has become quite a pain in the *** to type on. I have disabled my touchpad, and replaced it with a mouse, but every time I am typing, it arbitrarily stops. The cursor goes away, and I hear the "ding" noise it makes when the cursor is not set in a text box. It does this in every application, so I feel as if it is a setting mishap. How do I fix this? I want the cursor to be locked into the text box, so I don't have to re-click to resume typing mid-sentence.

2 AnswersMedicine9 years agoIs all hope lost for college?
In today's ever changing and more competitive world, grades are becoming more and more important for success. However, I have never found myself to be a "school person." I was always the underachieving kid who never did his homework, slept through class, but always managed to scrape by on test scores. Now I am a month into my Senior year, and I feel lost in this whole process. I have about a 2.9 GPA, and thankfully a 31 on my ACT. Are these sufficient for getting into any reputable schools? I was always really good at math and science, especially chemistry and physics, so engineering would appear to be a good fit for me. Are there any avenues of salvation for me?

Mathematics9 years agoTaking Extenze as a 16 year old late bloomer?
I am a 16 year old male, and I am a late bloomer. According to the endocrinologist, I am about 15 years of age, when it comes to puberty, and about 14 when it comes to bone structure. I have a girlfriend, and lately she has been making advances, but I feel really self conscious. I feel as if 6 inches is not good enough, and I would be happy with a half inch to a full inch more. Can I take extenze, and not harm myself?
PLEASE READ:
1. A few of my friends have taken it and they said they have had good results after 30 days.
2. We would be safe, of course.
3. Please do not deviate from the initial question.
