I have downloaded The Weather Channel's Desktop Weather application and it has worked successfully for about a year or two, but now it just stopped working. It seems as if the application does not load when it is started. All I see is the icon on the desktop, but it is as if the main application itself is not even there. The application does not start, and when you try to manually start it from the start menu or the desktop, it just turns the screen blue and does nothing until you exit the application. I need help fast, because I have a feeling this is really bad.

I have an Intel Pentium 4 processor and I currently have driver version 5.1.2600.0

I have Windows XP Professional SP2. Where can I check for updates for this? Already tried Intel.com - dead end. Already tried Windows Update - went in a circle and eventually ended up right where I started.

Ok, supposedly there's going to be some sort of gas boycott on like May 15th or something like that. That's not going to work because then everyone will pump gas on the 14th an 16th, so it'll make up for the loss anyway and it's not like they'll really care. The gas station only makes like 4 cents per gallon and the rest goes to them buying gas from the other countries and stuff like that. I can guarantee that gas companies in other countries aren't going to care what we're doing over here, and our gas stations make all of their money off of the convenience stores, and people will still go to those. Really, nothing is going to come out of it and even if something does, it'll only make gas prices go UP, not down. So do you really want to drive gas prices up even higher than they already are?

My brother has a 3dfx Voodoo5 Video Card and I need to update the drivers. I heard 3dfx was taken over by NVIDIA and I searched all over NVIDIA site and couldn't find anything. Does 3dfx have a website any more? I need to find these drivers. Where can I get them? I don't want 3rd party drivers, either. I want official 3dfx updated drivers.

Whenever I go to Microsoft Update, the page fails to load and gives me error number 0x80004005. I have heard that this is from Win Media Player 11, which I have, but I WILL NOT remove Media Player 11, I love it too much. What is REALLY behind all this crap and is there anything that I (or someone else) can do to help?

Are there any sites where i can download a SAFE copy of the default theme in Windows Vista onto my Windows XP Pro SP2 computer?

Ok, I've got 2 problems here:

PROB. 1:

My computer starts up on its own. I go to school and turn it on, but when I come home, it'll be running again. It's a custom-built Windows XP Pro computer and I already tried re-installing Windows and resetting BIOS and neither worked. What else could I try that I wouldn't have to see a pro for? All answers are greatly appreciated.

PROB. 2:

I am having trouble connecting to the internet. The highest speed I can get when I dial is 28.8 kbps and I can only get through on one number. This is on the same computer as the one in problem 1. My grandma gets at least 46 kbps every time she dials to any number, so it is my modem. I have a SoftV92 Data Fax Modem with a Conexant chipset. I have already e-mailed Conexant to see if they might know what the problem is, but they haven't yet replied. I know my modem is in great condition because it worked perfectly just a couple of days ago. What could I do that I wouldn't have to see a pro for? Thanks!

Ok, I have to make a PowerPoint Presentation to my class that convinces them to vote for Donald Trump as the best person of the year. I can't find anything GOOD about Donald Trump! If you have any reasons as to why he should be the voted the best person of the year, please respond to this. PLEASE: No opinions of any kind, or at least keep your opinions to a low level.
