  • the answer to Qatada?

Since the Government does not appear to have the answer to Abu Qatada why not stick a postage stamp on his head and dispatch him to the Court of Human Rights and let them deal with the problem?

  • Who rules Europe, The majority or the minority?

It is a historical fact in the past we have been at war with both France and Germany at a cost of Billions of lives on both sides. In those wars both these countries were defeated.

In latest moves France & Germany seem to be hatching a scheme to rule Europe without a shot being fired. I hope I'm wrong but that is the way I perceive recent developments

Is this a way to win battles without a shot being fired?

  • Is it the Governments intention to "Cull" the elderly and infirm of Britain ?

Massive increases in the cost (And taxes) of domestic fuels and petrol. And in consequence prices of food and transport rise on a daily basis..Benefit cuts lead to many in the above groups having to choose between food or heating

The Benefits of many are being either cut or reduced. A number of Local Authorities are cutting travel passes

George Osbourne, it is reported is seeking ways of reducing the 5% cost of living increase on pensions. Meanwhile billions are given away in overseas aid

So much for the Tory election pledge "We will protect the sick and elderly in the community"

  • How can we take the Government seriously?

We are told frequently there is no spare money. Yet,

We deal out billions in aid to the third world (Which we borrow in order to do so)

We allow Eastern Europeans to flood into the country, ( who require housing, and more than one family live all expences paid in multimillion pound dwellings

This whilst we are closing homes for the care of our own elderly

Busines's are forced to close due to inability to secure loans from banks, throwing more people into unemployment and who will require finantial help in the future. This is only the tip of the Iceberg, no doubt the reader can think of many more examples of wasteful spending by you know who

Please feel free to add to my list.

  • Am I alone in thinking that it is this Governments intention to drive the average wage earners into the ground?

Why?Recent increases in both domestic fuels, petrol, diesel, prices ( which change on a daily basis)3% increase in VAT which many firms have rounded up to 5%and the price of the weekly shop show marked increases.

Politicians, Bankers, and the upper ranks of the health service including LA's on their inflated salaries, bonuses,ex pence accounts are insulated from these increased prices consequently have no conception how difficult it is to make ends meet, On the contrary many people are finding it impossible to do so

A10 year mountain of debt will not be cleared overnight , this Government is trying to do too much too quickly. A more sympathetic approach is needed.

  • Why does Boris Johnson persist in his dog & bone pursuit of the Thames Estuary airport?

This issue has been the subject of repeated feasibility studies, Enquiries. Discussions Objections over many years and has always been rejected mainly on environmental issues It will NEVER happen. Fact is if the latest EU proposal to increase the cost of air travel coupled with fuel cost perhaps Headcorn airfield kent will be large enough to cope with those people lucky enough to be able to afford to fly.LOL.

  • How many people were duped when voting liberal.?

I have been a liberal voter all my life, Not any more. I did not expect my vote to become a pseudo Conservative one. It is my opinion the Liberal cronies sold out to the Tories in an effort to gain the scrag ends of power. Thank you guys You have converted me to be a Labour voter. Well done!

  • Will MP's ever take into consideration public opinion?

Damian Green, Immigration Minister, suggests the Burk will never be banned in the UK because it would be Unbritish to try to dictate a ban on any type of dress A ban is not specifically aimed at a particular mode of dress, rather the act of wearing a full face mask in public

Recent polls suggest the majority of the general public (including many Muslims) do not agree with the face being covered in public so at least a possible ban should be given a free vote,

  • Should the UK follow France's example & ban the burkha?

95% of people in the Uk say Yes.

The majority of Muslim women do not wear the burkha

Fanatical terrorists wear face covering, as do bank robbers and public rioters

This mode of dress is, in my opinion, intimidating and should not be seen in public places in the UK

  • Who in the Government likes to rub salt in the wound?

Now we learn that three MP's accused of fleecing the tax payer out of tens of thousands of pounds are to receive maybe millions more in legal aid ( thought legal aid was for people who have not the means to pay) What a downright liberty. Vote Labour ? NOT IN A MILLION YEARS.

Category politics & government Someone thinks the Question belongs in Health & welfare perhaps they are right.

  • Was this good news or not ?

How refreshing to see those yobs meet their match

One thug bad mouthed a guy who turned out to be a martial arts expert and was decked as a result

Two more drunken idiots picked on two transvestites who turned out to be cage fighters and were given a beating. Great.

Many folk would like to see more of this though it's a good job the police were not about as the good guys would have been arrested if things ran true to form.

    Well done fellas.

  • What's wrong with our Police?

?During a public demo a small army of armoured police turn up

    to "Quell the uprising"

For a drug bust a team of riot police turn up

Yet when a 70 year old pokes a troublesome yob in the chest SHE is

    arrested

And when a man detains a thug who is damaging his property He is arrested and thugs go free

  • would it be a good idea,to?

It has been suggested that the winter fuel allowance and free TV licences for the elderly should be discontinued, thus condemning thousands of the elderly to a winter of misery, illness and in some cases possibly death.

Labour should carefully consider this option and bear in mind the elderly form a very large proportion of voters and to do so could be the end of Labour rule.

  • Vote Tory? not me after the greed shown by some MP's?

I had almost made up my mind to vote Conservative on the next election, Today I read a couple of ageing Tory MP's are asking for their salaries to be increased to at least £100,000 pa. This in spite of the recent expenses scandals Talk about rubbing your nose in it. Not likely after this.

  • Will 50p increase per unit of alcohol have any effect?

If the chief medcal officer of health thinks it will have any effect on habitual drinkers he's living in cloud cuckoo land. He should remember not so many years ago 20 cigarettes cost around £1 they now cost about £5 and habitual smokers still smoke. So will it be with alcohol. A more suitable measure would be to make hard drinkers who damage their health through excessive drinking contribute to the cost of any medical treatment they may require.
