We have a PS3 now and back in June or July my hubby put down a deposit to get one for launch day. A few months later he said it wasn't worth it since we don't use the blu-ray and he only really plays the first COD and NHL. he ended up refunding his deposit. Then in September he started asking if he was getting it for Christmas. When I asked why he refunded the deposit he said that he shouldn't have to pay for his Christmas gift. I said to him that I thought he didn't want it. So.. Thee weeks ago I went out and put a deposit on the system so I can get one from the second shipment. He doesn't know I did this. Then in casual conversation last week he said I shouldn't get one.

What should I do???

I know nothing about fishing but would like to buy my husband a rod/reel for Christmas. He would be using it to fish for trout and would be casting off a dock or boat... I am not looking for the cheapest of the cheap but I don't want to pay more than I should. what should I look for?

Hubby and I heading down to the states to do some shopping. This will be our last trip for the foreseeable future so we are stocking up on things that are cheaper there than in Canada

One of tthese items is a crib...on average I can save abou$100 by buying in the states for the same crib in Canada.

My question is... What is the best crib? Prices vary anywhere from $100 to over $1200... I have been looking at ones from Graco because it is the brand I am most familiar with. Is this the best brand?

I want a convertible crib that will last and preferably one that includes all conversion rails.

. Is a crib in the $150 to $200 price range going to do the trick?

I am a non-smoker raised in a house where my father smoked 2 packs per day. My father continues to smoke 2 packs/day. My dad is not very social b/c there is no where that allows smokers. As a family we do not go out much b/c smoking is not allowed. My dad does not like going to other people's houses (including my own) b/c he is not allowed to smoke inside.

In the summers it is not so bad b/c the weather is nice and we can gather outside.

The only place my dad can smoke freely is in his own house; this is something he has done for years and years and years. the friends he does have are all allowed to smoke in the house, my brother and his girlfriend are allowed to smoke in the house so the norm is that it is acceptable to smoke in the house.

In the winter, when my husband and I go over to my parents, the house is filled with smoke and it is hard to breath and makes you feel sick and causes you to stink afterward. Since I grew up in this environment I am more used to it and it does not bother me as much as my husband. My Mom is a non-smoker but she lives and breaths it every day - it does not bother her.

the problem - my husband is a non-smoker and has no desire to go see my parents when it is not outside. This next weekend is my younger brother's birthday (he will be 20). He has decided that he does not want to go out for dinner but would rather have dinner at my parents. My husband does not want to go b/c he does not want to be put in an environment that makes him sick. However, I know my father and if I ask him to not smoke he will just tell me that it is his house and he can do what he wants (though he will use much more colorful language). My husband gets very angry when he and I discuss whether or no he should go b/c he feels that it is disrespectful for my dad to smoke in front of those who dont but I feel that it is my dad's right to do what he wants in his own house.

my father will not compromise on this and he will refuse to quit smoking in front of us.

how would you address this situation? what would you do?

I'm 26 years old, almost 27 and have been married for 3 years. I have a very well paying job and can financially support a baby. However, there are some things that I still want to do - go camping, look at a career change, and enjoy life now that i no longer have debt.

That being said, i feel pressure from so many different angles -

1) family (esp my MIL) - who is always asking me if i'm pregnant yet

2) friends of mine, who are the same age, are having babies

3) co-workers who are newly pregnant and asking me when i'll have kids

4) non-pregnant coworkers asking when i'll have kids

5) media - constant talk of the Royal Baby and other celebs having babies

6) seeing other people in the community either pregnant or pushing strollers

7) generally getting older - more pressure as I get closer to the end of my twenties

don't get me wrong, I DEFINATELY want to have children (even have the baby room colors picked out). I am just wondering if other's feel the same way i do and if so - how do you deal with it

i hate the game and never beat my hubby at it - he always plays online one on one and online w/ teams. is it worth it for me to spend the extra$$$ for the special edition?

I suck at buying gifts and last christmas I bombed pretty bad - my hubby likes to spend money wisely and he only buys things he needs -- so last christmas, my gifts were very practical rather than "fun"

after going boxing day shopping to even the playing field (as he spoiled me) I got a better idea of what would be a better gift.

His birthday is around the corner and I thought it would be a good idea to get him an ipod nano and fiill it with a bunch of songs that I have stored. i thought this was a good idea because he still burns cds and the cd's end up damaged or scratched - this way, i would also buy him a aux cable so he can connect the ipod into the car

My husband lost his father almost four years ago. his mother and father had been married for nearly 25. his motther began dating again about a year ago..

1) if you were her child, would you feel this is too soon?

My husband says he doesn't care that she is dating but i know it bothers him. We live out of town and when we visit he is uncomfortable that the boyfriend is sleeping in the same bed as his father had; he is uncomfortable that they will shower together, and that he sits around in his underwear.

I still have my parents and don't know what its like to loose one. How can i make it easier on my husband or do i just give him space when this topic comes up?

How much money does a logistics dispatcher in Alberta make when he or she has not worked for a year due to injury and prior to that was a heavy duty truck opertator.

Someone told me that a person in this position makes $80000.00 including a company vehicle and fuel card. Is this information correct?
