New alternator, battery, throttle position sensor, crankshaft position sensor spark plugs..

spark plug wires look good.. fuel pump is working..

there IS a spark to the wires..

after changing the spark plugs.. car wouldn't start.. the plugs were put on correctly.. the gap to the plugs were correct..(before plugs were change car would take a few sec to start, idle rough.. drove in lower gears rough)

so today after installing crankshaft sensor.. still crank but no start..

my friend has been helping me trouble shoot.. i also read on a forum how my car.. 1997 chrysler cirrus 2.5L V6 --crankshaft pos. sensor, coil or distributor are most likely at fault..

monday my friend and i are testing the distributor and ignition coil with an ohmmeter.. hopefully that is what is causing the problem..

any suggestions?

After changing the spark plugs car wouldn't start.. They and the wires are in right. Gap is right.. Spark plugs still getting spark to them..Car will turn over but wont start.

Alternator/battery/starter/ignition coil are good

Still could scan the CEL..

P0123, P0113

Intake Air Temperature Sensor

Throttle Position Sensor

If one of those are bad, can it make your car not start? I'd assume the throttle would..

Also can someone tell me the location of those on my car? Even some pictures would be great.

my car has a small jerk to it when its around 2nd gear and i have a feeling its something in the transmission.. when i had to scan on computer few codes, but they are fixed now and said something about a solenoid which is in tranny..

anyways

was wondering if i done a correct transmission fluid change and added this, as directions say.. it will not have a bad effect on the problem would it?

i read somewhere a while ago, sometimes if you change a bad fluid.. and something else is bad.. sometimes its better off how it is and would last longer..

it doesn't really make sense

I am learning about cars, Mostly the electrical on my own and along with friends. I am not nearly as close as a mechanic. My talent is computer security.

I knew I'd fail emissions. At least I have a 30day temp. sticker.

I looked up the 3 codes and two of them are "circuit malfunction" -I do not know what they mean.

Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 or Single sensor)

= I replaced the knock sensor last month.. Is the circuit the wiring that goes to it?

MAP/Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction

=the little sensor that says "BOOST", would that need replace or just the wires to it? I noticed who ever messed with the car before me done a crappy job taping up the wires..

Help anyone!? Circuit Malfunction is a bit annoying, not sure if its the sensor itself and/or it is the wire harness.

okay knock sensor is a huge pain in the a$$!!! i just got mine off with uncles help (1996 nissan maxima SE)

we took it off and had a look at it, for those who do mess with cars and know what a knock sensor is and looks like..i had question

when you connect the harness to the sensor, how many wires suppose to be going to the harness? i only have one, the one wire going to the sensor, it looks like there SHOULD BE another wire from the side that goes threw the harness into the sensor

i've google'd images and on the web, no luck so far and i seen some pictures on a photobucket account:

I have a 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE. Brand new alternator and battery. I haven't start it for like 3 weeks, because I was low on gas and it would of ran out. I was waiting until this Friday since payday. My battery is completely dead, so before I go to Auto Zone and get it charged I had some questions. (Most workers at my local Auto Zone don't know much)

When I got my alternator changed at my friends shop, they did a charging system test and no problems.

Why would my battery be dead if its new along with the alternator? It shouldn't be if it hasn't been started in a few weeks.

My roommate told me it's probably a grounding problem. How much would that cost to be repaired?(estimate)

I have no idea what is going on, but it is annoying once I need to go somewhere, I can't. Please help, thanks!

I had court on the 2nd of this month, they put me on house arrest! I done a class a mistermeaner in July. They put me on it, because the report that the po made that the judge read said I'm a violent person. (which is false.. long story rather not say) I am 17.

I'm on level 2 house arrest with the bracelet for 6 months!

Could I do some time or community service to get this off?
