  • How can I find a history of a restraining order?

My ex filed a restraining order against me, but I'm trying to prove that it was filed under false information. To help me out with my defense, she's filed restraining orders against her other ex in the past, but it was in a different state. Who should I call and try to obtain the restraining order against the other boyfriend (i don't know his name btw)? Should I call her town's PD?

  • False restraining order?

Sunday night, my ex who had my bike & money that she owed, agreed to give it back to me on Monday. During the day (10:42 AM), I begin receiving messages from her friend saying that she will give me the money at 7-7:30PM. At 3:34PM, the ex filed an abuse prevention order against me. According to state law (as the detective told me & my states site of laws), if I attempt to communicate/associate with her, her family or her friends concerning her, then I would be arrested. This means, if I met with her friend at 7PM, well after the order was filed, then I could've been arrested because the meeting concerned my ex and the money she was giving. I tried having a police officer retrieve my things but she claimed that she didn't have my bike nor "my money". It was cash, so there's no trail, and there's no way I can trace it to her to legally gain it back.

The abuse prevention order also ordered me that I cannot step onto the university campus that we're both associated with. The problem is, I've been conducting a study and the data stored must stay in a certain room on campus. She also is not currently living on campus nor attending class/work there. My research is IRB certified which includes federal regulations. I am the only one who can physically access the information (on a federal level), but I am not getting paid so it isn't technically a job.

I never showed any violence, showed any signs of threatening violence, and she's filed restraining orders on her boyfriend before me in the past so is there a way I can remove this order? Do I have to bring this order to a federal court if I can't remove it through the city's court?

She asked me to meet her at a certain time, then proceeded to file the abuse prevention order so it'll kick in before I was supposed to meet her. In other words, she tried setting me up. Was this legal on her part? Can I use that to claim that it was a false abuse prevention order? How easy would this be?

Last night, my ex who had my bike & money that she owed, agreed to give it back to me today. During the day (10:42 AM), I begin receiving messages from her friend saying that she will give me the money at 7-7:30PM. Is this legal? Is there a way that I can change or eliminate this order?

  • former tenant charging pro-rate?

A girl broke her lease and had to find a new tenant. That person was me. When the landlord & I signed the new lease, the three of us (including the former tenant) agreed that she will be paying for the month she moves out. This means that the papers we had signed said that I was paying "$0.00" for the said month. She moved out the 18th and I moved out the 22nd. 1 or 2 weeks later, she emails me about a pro-rate and that I owe her part of the months rent (she changed her mind). Ethics aside, by law, am I supposed to pay her the pro-rated amount? It wasn't even placed in the advertisement, she initially agreed not to have me pay a pro-rate & the lease I signed says that I'm not paying for the said month (This is in Cambridge, MA).

  • Private culinary school?

I talked to a representative of a private (but well-known) culinary school. Knowing mostly medicine and next to nothing about cooking, I went into the science of the denaturation of an egg to create a fluffier scrambled egg. After that conversation, she insisted that I have an interview with the school's head chef. Before an actual meeting though I have to talk to him over the phone. Again, I know pretty much nothing about cooking so I have no idea what to say to this guy nor would I know what he's going to ask me, and I've never worked in a kitchen. Any suggestions?

  • Cupcake bouquet with an edible foundation?

I'm going to attempt a cupcake bouquet but I want to bake the foundation instead of using a styrofoam ball. I was wondering if a slightly overcooked cookie could be stiff enough to support the cupcakes (they'll be connected with toothpicks). If not, then would fudge work?

  • faster menstrual cycle?

    Female

    20 yo

taking the pill for about 4 years

stress and unhealthy eating since October but stress-free and healthy diet for about a month now

C/O Menstrual cycle is twice as frequent than normal and with 2 days of heavy flow. Has been occurring for a couple of months.

I know the heavy flow can possibly be explained by the poor consumption of iron which takes up to 8 weeks to recover from depending on the decreased levels. But the increased stress and poor diet would rather cause a missed period instead of more frequent ones. Is there a metatastic problem? a tumor near the uterus or protruding against ovaries? Problem with signals to Pituitary gland or hormone release? help me please

  • Female: faster cycle?

I have a Female friend who's 18-24 y/o who's having her menstrual cycle occurring twice as fast. There is also a heavy flow. She was stressed for the last two months (when the problem started) but she's more relaxed this month. Her eating habits have just returned to normal also after 2 months. She has also been taking the pill for a few years now. I can list the possibilities myself but I just need another opinion.

  • meniscus? subluxation? ligament?

I recently re-injured my left knee. The first two times I thought it was just because it subluxated because i was running 16-17 miles in wet, windy, rocky, hard, and hilly terrain and eventually the impacts caused significant swelling (my knee did drop a little too). I exercised my legs, making sure all of the muscles pertaining to my legs (as well as my abs and back) are in good shape strength and endurance wise.

Today I just went for a 4.5 mile run and i got the same p! again in my lt knee. It's the same symptoms, my gait's not normal, when sitting and with only gravity acting on it, my knee hurts going under 90 degrees. When I stand, p! occurs when i lower my leg to the ground from 90 degrees.

Did I have a tear and not know about it or do I just need to change my way of running?

  • Dell inspiron 9100?

I have a Dell Inspiron 9100 that I bought in 2004. My headphone jack doesn't allow me to hear music/videos the same way it does w/o it. For example: I would hear a song perfectly w/the laptops speakers but with a set of headphones, the bass or the singing may sound distorted. It's random on many music/videos, the voices will sound like it's under water or you can't hear a bass, etc. Is it a hard drive problem or is it an outdated driver? how can I fix it?
