  • Will a 5 speed from a 88 Nissan truck swap out with a 97 5 sp Nissan truck?

My truck is freezing in 5 th gear. Once in at hwy speed it will not come out unless u stop the truck and shake it out. I found a serviceable 5 sp from a 1988 nissan truck and was wondering if it would drop in without modification into a 1997 Nissan.

    Thanks

  • Laptop will not turn on?

I have a 6 year old Gateway MX6025, I manually checked the battery charge and when I press the check button it blinks on the 25%. The computer was working normally until one day it would not turn on. I cannot tell if it is the batter or the power supply. How do I troubleshoot them. The power supply no longer gets warm and the light for wall power does not come on either. But then again, the battery should have enough power to start up the computer. What do you think the problem is?

  • 2005 Suburban Z71 driver side power seat is not working property.?

The seat was moved back to the rear stop, but when my wife hopped in and tried to move it forward, it would only go about an inch and then stopped. The seat would move back to the rear stop and forward an inch. I took the seat out and checked the track, everything is clear and all of the motors are working. I plugged the power back in and the seat would move all the way forward, but only when the seat switch was pushed BACKWARDS ( like moving the seat back.) So for a couple of tries, the seat would move all the way forward and all the way back, but only using reversed switch movement. After that, the seat got stuck again at the rear stop and moves 1 inch each way. I have taken the seat to a salvage yard, and the guys there said that it sounded like one of the wires was not making contact.

So, that is the problem and I have described what I have done. However, the problem is not solved. What could be causing this problem and how do I go about fixing it? Thanks.

  • What is wrong with my 1995 Chevy Silverado diesel power door locks?

I recently had a bad connection on one of my batteries. I disconnected the hot wire, cleaned it, and reconnected it. Everything worked, but within 5 minutes my power door locks and my driver side power seat would not work. I drive the truck several times per week, and now about 25% of the time the door locks/seat work. Today it was not working, so I disconnected the same cable again, cleaned it and reconnected it. The seat and locks worked after 25 cycles. I drove the truck again later today, and it was not working again. I have looked at the repair manual, and there is nothing that is helpful about troubleshooting this issue. So, what do you guys think is wrong? I know that there is not a blown fuse or broken wire, and that apparently, the seat and locks are on the same circuit. Thanks.

  • How do I find the right person to buy my land?

I have 150 beautiful acres with over 2500 feet of road frontage in Houston County, AL. I have priced it moderatly at $3500 per acre, but have not had any success in finding a buyer. I am looking for someone who will preserve the agricultural and rural character of the property and who will continue its farming heritage. Over the past 100 years it has been in the same family and used for the production of peanuts, wheat, and cotton. This is a great property and area for a family or commune. There is no zoning to restrict how you use the property. I want to find that person that is looking for this kind of property. How do I do it?.

  • Camper Water Heater Atwood model G6a-7, pilot ignition, only about 1/2 gallon is getting hot - HELP!?

I light my camper's water heater pilot light and it fires up the burner. It will run for a few minutes and switch off. I go and run hot water and there is only about 1/2 gallon of hot water coming from the water heater tank. The unit was stored with an antifreeze solution when I purchased it. Can that stuff screw up the thermostat? I am not sure what the terminolgy is for the unit that controls the heat and the probe that goes into the tank, but my feeling is that something is telling the thermostat that the water is hot, when very little is. Do you have any ideas?

  • OK, WWII movie aficianados. I want the name of this movie.?

I cannot remember who starred in the movie, but it seems like it was Sean Connery or Clint Eastwood, It could be someone else. The scene that I most vividly remember from some 20 years back when I saw it was: a dark night in a small snowcovered moutainous village, possibly Salsburg, Austria. The star road atop a cable car to the top of the mountain where stood a fortress of some type that was occupied by the Germans. Here, the star commenced to wreak all sorts of havock for the Germans. I cannot remember anything else. Can anyone help me?

  • Natural Gas Powered Aircraft?

Is it possible to replace 100LL with natural gas in piston powered aircraft? I know the engine will run fine on natural gas and that the fuel system will weigh much more. Is there a performance penalty per pound of LG vs. per pound of 100LL?

MIG is so much easier and produces a clean weld for flat stock. Why not use it for fuselage construction also?

Specifically, I am referring to those made in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Consider fuel costs, current piston twin value trends, maintenance/ownership costs, and even the ratings cost. i have my ideas, I would like to hear from the industry experts!
